The story behind popular Marbella restaurant Paella’s y Más begins three decades ago in Brussels. Javier Ponte’s passion for cooking, inherited from his mother and grandmother, encouraged him to begin studies in French cuisine and, after completing his apprenticeship in various top Brussels restaurants, Ponte and his brother founded La Cueva de Castilla, a Spanish restaurant in Brussels.

Having Andalucian heritage on his father’s side, and discovering Marbella over 12 years ago, Ponte decided that the iconic Costa del Sol town was the ideal location to create his urban city garden restaurant Paella’s y Más, “offering soul-satisfying Spanish cuisine cultivated in tradition and passion”.

With its spacious, contemporary and warm Andalucian design and atmosphere, the restaurant offers a wide range of delicious Spanish rices, fideua (thin Spanish pasta), Iberian Bellota steaks, cured ham, sausages, seafood and salads.

The establishment caters for all tastes and preferences, from a casual afternoon beer and warm Andalucian sandwich to an a la carte dinner. Chef Ponte’s heartfelt cooking combines traditional family recipes and local Spanish ingredients, with his own artistic creativity added to each recipe to produce innovative paella and fideua dishes that please even the most discerning appetites.

Paella’s y Más also offers a large selection of wines, champagne and aperitifs, and a sumptuous variety of desserts, cakes and ice cream.

The restaurant itself comprises various different spaces: a large sunny terrace, a bar and an interior dining room ideal for a romantic dinner for two, business meeting, private event or special family celebration. 

The private dining room at Paella’s y Más is a cosy and versatile space designed to create a setting that is comfortable and provides natural light. It accommodates small to large groups.

A take-away service is available for those don’t feel like cooking one night or would like food for the office or a meeting.

The restaurant is situated in the centre of Marbella between Jacinto Benavente and Avenida Ricardo Soriano, in Calle Hermanos Salom 3. There are several street parking spaces and public parking garages located a short walking distance away.
