The front nine at the Guadalhorce course, which was designed by Kosti Kuronen, has a distinctly European feel about it with its slightly rolling terrain and tricky greens, especially the long green at the 4th. On the back nine the layout is more American in style with lakes, tropical vegetation and raised greens. Throughout the course many of the greens are extremely large and in some cases they are shared between two holes, the 6th and the 8th, for example, and also the 12th and 16th. Refreshments can be enjoyed by the practice ground near the 7th and 9th greens.
HOW TO GET THERE
When you get to the Carrefour shopping centre on the highway towards Málaga take the exit marked Parque Tecnológico-Cartama-Campanillas and then, after about 7 kilometres, take the exit for Mercamálaga. The course is 1 kilometre from this exit.
