Andalucía Golf Challenge on the 27th of June at Alferini

One of the most attractive and challenging courses on the Costa del Sol – Alferini at Villa Padierna Golf Club – will be the first venue for the 2015 Andalucía Golf Challenge Circuit, which is held on the Coast’s top courses every summer.

In spite of its relative youth (this year is the fifth edition), the circuit has become a classic on the Costa del Sol’s summer schedule, attracting golfers from throughout Europe thanks to the quality of the courses where it is held, the expert organisation and the major prizes on offer.

The cost of taking part in the event at Alferini is 80 euros per person with buggy included. Also included is the prize-giving cocktail reception.

There will be major prizes for the first three classified players in each category, as well as for the winners of the longest drive and closest to the pin.

PRIZES

The winners in the first and second categories will receive a GPS watch and car navigator, both from the prestigious TomTom brand, a selection of wines from D.O. Somontano, and golf products from major brands valued at hundreds of euros.

The second and third finishers in each category will receive a selection of D.O. Somontano wines, golf products from the major brands, etc.

The winners of the longest drive and closest to the pin will also receive major prizes.

Organised by Andalucía Golf, the tournament will be an individual stableford format played in two categories, with a shotgun start.

The 2015 Andalucía Golf Challenge is sponsored by TomTom, fairway + blue, Holiday Golf and D.O. Somontano. Onda Cero Marbella is the circuit’s official radio broadcaster.

HOLE-IN-ONE

There will be a prize of a Yamaha motorbike for a player achieving a hole-in-one on a par-three hole to be determined.
