Añoreta Golf, the first course to be designed by Spanish Ryder Cup hero José María Cañizares, provides golfers with a good challenge in the form of water hazards at no fewer than 11 of its holes. Particularly tough are the 528-metre 3rd hole, despite its spectacular views over the sea, the equally difficult 7th, the par four 8th with its tricky dogleg and a lake to the right of the fairway, and the unforgettable 17th hole where the green is surrounded by water on three sides.

HOW TO GET THERE

At Km 257 on the Málaga highway going towards Motril there is an exit with the golf course signposted, and you can see it from the highway.
