The New Course of the spectacular and prestigious La Zagaleta resort has once again successfully hosted one of the rounds of the SAN MIGUEL ANDALUCÍA GOLF CHALLENGE ‘Destino República Dominicana by Globalia’ Circuit, which this year celebrates its fourteenth edition.

The course, a magnificent design by Gaunt & Marnoch, is perfectly maintained and presents a very technical course that forces you to think very carefully about each shot, with many shots with a high level of risk-prize. The maintenance and presentation of the course are simply extraordinary.

It is worth mentioning the refreshment point at the 2nd hole served by the Grupo Delicias catering, which was also in charge of the unbeatable prize-giving cocktail.

The prize-giving ceremony was attended by the director of Zagaleta New Course, Tatiana Morató, and Gabriela Jones, from the Fairway + Blue golf boutique in Puerto Banús.

The XIV SAN MIGUEL ANDALUCÍA ANDALUCÍA GOLF CHALLENGE ‘Destino República Dominicana by Globalia’ is an open amateur circuit organised by the magazine Andalucía Golf / España Golf. The circuit covers all the Andalusian provinces, as well as Madrid and Mallorca, with most of the rounds being played on the Costa del Sol, on top level courses.

The grand final of the Circuit, from which the five winners of the trips to the Dominican Caribbean will be chosen, will be played on 28th September at Los Arqueros and will be followed by a gala dinner at the Gran Hotel Guadalpín Banús in Marbella.

Access to the final will be direct for the winner of each category and the scratch winner of each tournament, while the remaining places in the final will be awarded on the basis of theBenahavís Ranking based on the points obtained in each event.

The next rounds of the Circuit will take place on 3rd August at Novo Sancti Petri and on 11th August at La Cala Resort-Campo Asia.

TRIP TO DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
The Grand Final of the Circuit will decide the 5 one week trips with flights, all inclusive accommodation at the 5 star hotel Sunscape Dominicus La Romana and golf at the spectacular Teeth of the Dog, Punta Espada, Dye Fore and PGAOcean's 4. The Grand Final will be played on 28th September and will be followed by a Gala Dinner at the Gran Hotel Guadalpín Banús *****.

All players on the Tour will be able to participate in the draw for 2 extra places to accompany the 5 winners of the trips to the Dominican Republic.
