Fireballs GC captain Sergio Garcia will return to Real Club Valderrama to defend his individual title and his team title as the Fireballs claimed their only team win of the 2024 season at LIV Golf Andalucía. This victory was hugely significant for Garcia as it adds to his impressive resume of wins at the famous course he describes as his favourite in the world.
Garcia, who snapped a four-year winless streak at Andalucía, spoke about the significance of his first LIV Golf win: “It’s very important. Obviously it’s huge. I keep telling everyone how hard it is to win here… It’s really amazing to be able to do it in your home country, in front of my family, in front of so many friends and on my favourite golf course.”

Captain Garcia, who also won the team title at LIV Golf Andalucía, said: “It’s a dream come true to be able to do it on my favourite course in front of my family, my friends and my teammates. But to make it even better, to also win the team championship was just incredible. I’m proud of these guys, the way they played. It’s a tough course so it was tough. I’m very, very proud of what we were able to achieve.”
Real Club Valderrama CEO Javier Reviriego said: “We’re delighted to welcome LIV Golf to Real Club Valderrama for the third consecutive time. This event continues to grow and it’s really rewarding to see an increasing number of fans coming to enjoy world-class golf on our iconic course. We look forward to another exciting tournament and the continued support of our passionate spectators.”
