The renowned Costa del Sol (aka \u201cCosta del Golf\u201d) extends along more than 100 kilometers of picturesque coastline and verdant mountain hinterland.<\/p>\n

It covers the whole of M\u00e1laga province \u2013 from Nerja in the east to Manilva in the west, and all the way up to Ronda and Antequera (the latter Andaluc\u00eda\u2019s geographic centre) \u2013 and the Mediterranean end of C\u00e1diz province.<\/p>\n

The Coast is home to more golf courses (78 \u2013 including nine-hole and par-three layouts) than any other area in Spain, and around two-thirds of Andaluc\u00eda\u2019s total. Ample reason, therefore, why it is recognised as Europe\u2019s premier golfing destination\u2026 <\/p>\n

Within this diverse coastal, and inland, expanse, several municipalities stand out as key hotspots for holiday visitors and residential tourists, offering not only international-quality golf amenities but also an exceptional diversity of restaurants, beach clubs, nightlife, boutique shopping, cultural and historic attractions, and amusement and adventure parks.<\/p>\n

Most of the courses are located in Marbella, Estepona, Benahav\u00eds, Sotogrande and Mijas, but the sport can also be enjoyed in many other Costa del Sol areas.<\/p>\n

Away from the Coast\u2019s \u201chotspots\u201d, golfers can enjoy a round \u2013 and classic \u201c19th hole\u201d pleasures and attractions \u2013 at an exceptional diversity of courses on the coast and inland.<\/p>\n

Inland\u2026 Antequera (the geographic centre of Andaluc\u00eda), Alhaurin el Grande and Alhaur\u00edn de la Torre (conveniently located close to M\u00e1laga\u2019s international airport \u2013 although not under its main flight path!) and Casares (including Finca Cortes\u00edn, three times the venue for the World Match Play Championship).<\/p>\n

On the coast\u2026 Manilva (home to the Robert Trent Jones-designed La Duquesa).<\/p>\n

And east of M\u00e1laga, in the Axarqu\u00eda area\u2026 A\u00f1oreta and Baviera.<\/p>\n
