Starting with a one-stroke lead over Mario Galiano, the last day has bravely resisted the push of the Cadiz, and both have signed 68 strokes, with the merit that the winner has managed to finish with a birdie to avoid the playoff.

The south course of the Real Club de Golf de Guadalmina in Malaga has been the scene of this exciting Men’s Andalusia Cup that has finished with only seven players under par. Pep Angles has finished with a total of -11, one stroke ahead of Mario Galiano, while in third position has finished Victor Pastor with -7, and further back, with -4, Scott W. Fernandez. Matyas Zapletal, Miki Kuronen and Adriá Arnáus, the defending champion, finished with one under par. On the other hand, in the final round, Iván Cantero stood out, who after a sensational 64 strokes, climbed to eighth place with a par.

A first round with a triple tie

On the first day, National Team players Mario Galiano and Pep Angles and Finland’s Lauri Ruuska were co-leading the standings after a first day in which they carded 68 strokes (-4).

This result put this trio in the lead in Guadalmina, where low scores were a constant. Thus, the Cordovan Victor Pastor was unmarked with a 69 (-3) that left him in an excellent position for Friday’s round.

The Catalans Joel Ramírez and Adriá Arnaus -defender of the title-, and Scott W. Fernández from Granada, all of them with 70 strokes (-2), also shone in the opening of the event. Up to eleven players invested less than the 72 strokes that mark the par of the Malaga course.

Mario Galiano takes the lead in the second round

Mario Galiano climbed to the first position of the tournament after finishing the second round with a total of 138 strokes and one stroke ahead of Pep Angles.
