{"id":14705,"date":"2014-07-07T11:16:08","date_gmt":"2014-07-07T11:16:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/andaluciagolf.com\/sara-navarro-and-antonio-cruz-conde-individual-champions-in-la-cala\/"},"modified":"2014-07-07T11:16:08","modified_gmt":"2014-07-07T11:16:08","slug":"sara-navarro-and-antonio-cruz-conde-individual-champions-in-la-cala","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/andaluciagolf.com\/en\/sara-navarro-and-antonio-cruz-conde-individual-champions-in-la-cala\/","title":{"rendered":"Sara Navarro and Antonio Cruz-Conde, individual champions in La Cala"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><span style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignleft size-full wp-image-3609\" src=\"https:\/\/andaluciagolf.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/News_la-cala.jpg\" border=\"0\" style=\"float: left;margin-right:10px;\" width=\"450\" height=\"338\" srcset=\"https:\/\/andaluciagolf.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/News_la-cala.jpg 450w, https:\/\/andaluciagolf.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/News_la-cala-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/>The International Championships of Andalusia, held from July 3 to 6 at the America Course of La Cala Resort, have ended with the second round of the Individual Championships.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\" style=\"text-align: left;\">In a day in which the wind has marked the game, the best cards have been signed by <strong>Sara Navarro and Antonio Cruz-Conde<\/strong>, who have snatched the victory from Rocio Sanchez and Carlos Segura, who were leading the table at the end of the first day.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Sara Navarro<\/strong> has totaled 144 strokes between the two days, which is the par of the course, and that has been enough to overtake <strong>Roc\u00edo S\u00e1nchez<\/strong> and <strong>Laura G\u00f3mez<\/strong> in the classification, who finally have been in second and third place.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\" style=\"text-align: left;\">For his part, <strong>Antonio Cruz-Conde<\/strong> has revalidated with a total score of 141 (-3) the title he won in the last edition of the International Men\u2019s Individual Championship of Andalusia, which was played at the Parador de Golf de Malaga, being the runner-up of Andalusia Men for <strong>Leonardo Lilja, <\/strong>who has signed the par of the course.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\" style=\"text-align: left;\">In the women\u2019s second category, the winner of the Individual Championship was <strong>Mar\u00eda Esperanza Serrano<\/strong>, who accumulated 153 strokes and maintained the first place she had already achieved in the first round. The runner-up in the second category was <strong>Mar\u00eda Pilar Scenna<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Guillermo El\u00edas Moreno<\/strong> has finally managed to overtake <strong>George Bris<\/strong>, with whom he started the second round tied in number of strokes, being respectively Champion and Runner-up of Andalusia Men in second category.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Moving on to the Handicap awards, the absolute winners were <strong>Patience Rhodes<\/strong> and <strong>Alfonso L\u00f3pez<\/strong>. In the second category, <strong>Ana Bel\u00e9n Morales<\/strong> and <strong>Gonzalo Noguerol<\/strong> were the champions. <\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\" style=\"text-align: left;\">As for the International Doubles Championships of Andalusia, which were held on July 3 and 4, the couple formed by<strong> Sara Navarro and Rocio Sanchez <\/strong>defended during the two days of play a clear advantage over their other teammates in the women\u2019s ranking. The Malaga women, who were also the individual champion and runner-up, won first place with 220 strokes. The second position, 5 strokes behind the first ones, was for<strong> Mar\u00eda Contreras and Sara Garc\u00eda.<\/strong>  <\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\" style=\"text-align: left;\"> <strong> Enrique Mar\u00edn Santander and Calvin Greschner<\/strong> were proclaimed International Double Champions of Andalusia in the men\u2019s category, after snatching first place from <strong>V\u00edctor Pastor and Haiko Dana<\/strong>, who finally took second place with a total of 209 strokes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\">The awards ceremony was attended by, among others, <\/span><strong style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\">Ignacio Iturbe<\/strong><span style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\">Provincial Delegate of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation in Malaga, who thanked on behalf of the Federation the affection with which La Cala has hosted the championship; <\/span><strong style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\">Candelaria Flores<\/strong><span style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\">President of the Women\u2019s Committee of the RFGA; <\/span><strong style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\">Luis Mansilla<\/strong><span style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\">President of the RFGA Men\u2019s Committee; <\/span><strong style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\">Agustin Alonso<\/strong><span style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\">Golf Operations Supervisor at La Cala; and <\/span><strong style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\">Diego Molina<\/strong><span style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\">, Chief Referee of the championship.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The International Championships of Andalusia, held from July 3 to 6 at the America Course of La Cala Resort, have ended with the second round of the Individual Championships.
