Resounding success of the inaugural edition of the <\/span>Andalusia Open of Pitch & Putt<\/strong> tournament that was held this weekend at the Costa del Sol’s course of <\/span>Benalm\u00e1dena Golf<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The competition was attended by fifty golfers who played under the rules established by the IPPA <\/strong>(International Pitch & Putt Association<\/strong>), including the mandatory use of a maximum of three clubs, including the putter, in the case of men, and five for women.<\/p>\n

In the women’s category, Valentina Albertazzi <\/strong>took the lead after a first round of 52 strokes (-2).<\/p>\n

On the second day, the junior player repeated the result and certified the victory with two strokes of income over the local golfer Natalia G\u00f3mez<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In this last round, it is worth mentioning the magnificent hole-in-one achieved by Mar\u00eda Rodr\u00edguez <\/strong>on hole 8 of the Benalmadena course.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, in the men’s category, there was a lot of excitement to find out the first winner of the tournament, a triumph that finally went to Casto G\u00f3mez<\/strong>, author of a stratospheric final round of -10(best card of the competition and Benalm\u00e1dena Golf record<\/strong>), which allowed him to tie at 94 strokes (14 under par) with Leonardo Lilja<\/strong>, three-time Spanish Pitch & Putt champion, and beat him thanks to the difference in handicap.<\/p>\n

As regards the handicap rankings, among the women, local player B\u00e1rbara V\u00f6lkel <\/strong>(98 net strokes) beat Valeria Espinosa<\/strong> and B\u00e1rbara Mart\u00edn<\/strong> by the minimum.<\/p>\n

In the men’s classification, Juan Soler<\/strong> (96 strokes) was one stroke ahead of junior David George Schneider<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

At the awards ceremony of this first edition of the Andalusian Pitch & Putt Open were present, among others, Antonio Fuentes,<\/strong> President of the Pitch & Putt Committee of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation<\/strong>; and Miguel Navarro<\/strong>, Benalm\u00e1dena Golf Professional.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
