Jos\u00e9 Antonio Mena, mayor of the municipality of Benahav\u00eds, received from the hands of the President of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation, \u00c1ngel de la Riva, the Plaque of Merit in Golf, a recognition with which the federation wanted to thank the municipality for the great support it has always given to the sport of golf.<\/p>\n
Located in the mountains and in a natural environment of special beauty, Benahav\u00eds has eight golf courses \u2013 11 percent of the total number of courses on the Costa del Sol \u2013 and a total of 135 holes.<\/span><\/p>\n Today, it is the fourth municipality in number of courses in the province of Malaga, only surpassed by Marbella, Mijas and Estepona.
