The Andalusian team, captained by <\/span>Inmaculada Torres <\/strong>and integrated by <\/span>Sara Garc\u00eda, Ignacio Puente, Mar\u00eda Contreras, Gonzalo Leal, Juan Manuel Due\u00f1as, Juan Manuel Due\u00f1as <\/strong>y <\/span>Sergio Ronchel,<\/strong> has been crowned champion of the <\/span>Inter-territorial of Spain Children’s Male and Female 2013<\/strong>, <\/span>“II Memorial Blanca Mayor”.<\/strong>by defeating Galicia in the Grand Final by a convincing 4-1.<\/span><\/p>\n

With this brilliant victory, Andalusia continues its idyll with a competition in which it has already accumulated nine titles (1995, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2013) since the tournament was established in 1995.<\/span><\/p>\n

In this last round, the Andalusian team scored a vital victory in the foursome (2\/1) thanks to the formidable pairing of Juan Manuel Due\u00f1as and Gonzalo Leal<\/strong>, which facilitated the mission of lifting the trophy again.<\/p>\n

In the individual matches, Sergio Ronchel and Ignacio Puente<\/strong>, with a masterful level of play throughout the championship, finished off the great victory of the Andalusian team after draws by the combative Mar\u00eda Contreras<\/strong> and Sara Garc\u00eda <\/strong>in their duels against the Galician players.<\/p>\n

It should be recalled that on the way to the ninth title, the Andalusian team finished the qualifying round at the Logro\u00f1o course<\/strong> as sixth seed with a total of 383 strokes.<\/p>\n

In the quarterfinals<\/strong>, in a very close tie until the last stages, the Valencian Community took the lead in the foursome but the Andalusian sextet managed to turn the scoreboard around in the singles thanks to the victories of Mar\u00eda Contreras<\/strong>, Sergio Ronchel <\/strong>and the victory in extremis of Ignacio Puente <\/strong>on the 18th hole.<\/p>\n

In the semifinals<\/strong>, Andalusia overcame Madrid, defending champions, by a resounding 4-1, after taking advantage in the doubles <\/strong>and confirming their enormous superiority in the singles matches where our team, as in the Grand Final, won 3 of the 4 points in the competition.<\/p>\n

Second title in seven days<\/strong><\/p>\n

With the triumph of the Andalusian team in the Interterritorial Children “II Memorial Blanca Mayor”<\/strong> and the victory of our Junior team in the Interterritorial Under-25 Men “Memorial Santi Oll\u00e9”<\/strong>, Andalusia has chained two national titles in a golden week for amateur golf in our Autonomous Community.<\/p>\n
