The beautiful course of Cerrado del Aguila<\/strong> has been a successful venue for the third round of the Mijas Sun & Golf Circuit<\/strong>. Sponsored by the Mijas Town Hall<\/strong> in an initiative of the Mijas Golf Courses Association<\/strong>, this first edition of the Circuit <\/span>consists of five tournaments plus a final, to be played on August 24 at Mijas Golf Los Lagos, which will be followed by a gala dinner at the hotel La Zambra.<\/span> <\/p>\n

The course was in very good condition and pleasantly surprised those who played it for the first time.<\/p>\n

The awards ceremony was attended by the director of Cerrado del Aguila Golf & Resort, Marco Civiero<\/strong>, and the councilman of Tourism of the Mijas Town Hall, Francisco Jerez<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

There were prizes in all the par 3 courses, where those who left the ball closest to the flag received a case of San Miguel beer<\/strong>, a partner brand of the Tour.<\/p>\n

The best classified in Cerrado del \u00c1guila get a place to play the final, where the prizes of seven vouchers to play for a whole year the courses of the Circuit, which apart from Cerrado del \u00c1guila and Mijas Golf are Chaparral, La Cala, La Noria and Miraflores, will be decided.<\/p>\n

Another particularity of the Circuit is the support given to women’s golf, so that a special ladies’ category is established, giving access to the final to the two best classified in the special ladies’ category that are not in the general prizes. The same is done for the best players, establishing a special scratch prize. <\/p>\n

In this way, nine players in each tournament are those who qualify for the grand final on Saturday, August 24. The Mijas Sun & Golf Circuit has as another hallmark the fact that the qualifying rounds are played on alternate Fridays during the summer months, becoming a very pleasant event and the best way to start a weekend. <\/p>\n

The next date of the Circuit is July 19 in La Noria.<\/p>\n
