The course of La Noria <\/strong>has successfully hosted the fourth and penultimate round of the Mijas Sun & Golf Circuit<\/strong>. Sponsored by the Mijas Town Hall<\/strong> in an initiative of the Mijas Golf Courses Association<\/strong>, this first edition of the Circuit <\/span>consists of five tournaments plus a final, to be played on August 24 at Mijas Golf Los Lagos, which will be followed by a gala dinner at the hotel La Zambra.<\/span> <\/p>\n

The course was a pleasant surprise for many players who were playing at this club for the first time, both for the good condition of the pitch and for the very interesting and pleasant design.<\/p>\n

It is a very flat and comfortable course to walk, with water in some holes and a large grove of trees that provides shade and makes the course very pleasant for those who prefer to play on foot. <\/p>\n

The awards ceremony was presided over by the Councillor for Tourism of the Mijas Town Hall, Francisco Jerez<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

There were prizes in all the par 3 courses, where those who left the ball closest to the flag received a case of San Miguel beer<\/strong>, a partner brand of the Tour.<\/p>\n

The best classified in La Noria get a place to play the final, where the prizes of seven vouchers to play for a whole year the courses of the Circuit, which apart from La Noria and Mijas Golf, are Chaparral, La Cala, Cerrado del \u00c1guila and Miraflores.<\/p>\n

Another particularity of the Circuit is the support given to women\u2019s golf, so that a special ladies\u2019 category is established, giving access to the final to the two best classified in the special ladies\u2019 category that are not in the general prizes. The same is done for the best players, establishing a special scratch prize. <\/p>\n

In this way, nine players in each tournament are those who qualify for the grand final on Saturday, August 24. The Mijas Sun & Golf Circuit has as another hallmark the fact that the qualifying rounds are played on alternate Fridays during the summer months, becoming a very pleasant event and the best way to start a weekend. <\/p>\n

The next appointment of the Circuit is on Friday, August 2 at the Europa course of La Cala Resort, with tee times at 9 am. Registrations include buggy, welcome pack and awards cocktail. <\/p>\n
