Crushers GC’s Anirban Lahiri takes the individual lead (-7) after a fantastic second round at LIV Golf Andalucia. The Indian, along with his captain Bryson DeChambeau, lead the impressive comeback of the Crushers GC at Real Club Valderrama on Saturday. <\/p>\n

Lahiri finished the round with 66 strokes, 5 under par, adding to his -2 from Friday, when he was in fourth place, to lead the individual scoreboard in a course as complex as Valderrama. The Crushers GC player leads the individual ranking with -7, followed by Danny Lee (Iron Heads GC) in second place with -3 and Eugenio Lopez-Chacarra (Fireballs GC) in third (-2), emerging as the favorite for the podium for the individual final. <\/p>\n

Sergio Garcia, today +2, and Jon Rahm, today -2, are tied for eleventh place tomorrow, with the par of the course and seven strokes behind Lahiri.<\/p>\n

After his near perfect round, Lahiri has been confident in the strategy he had in hand to close strong this Sunday and assured, “The win would mean a lot, I’ve been chasing it for a while now. I have to go out on the course and play, find the green, hit a putt, go to the next one and do the same thing 18 times.”<\/p>\n

Lahiri’s spectacular Saturday has taken Crushers GC to the top of the leaderboards along with team captain Bryson DeChambeau (-4) and Paul Casey (-2), to recover from +4 after the first day. Sergio Garcia’s Fireballs remain in contention at 3-under par, while first round leaders Stinger GC fell to third place at -2. <\/p>\n

DeChambeau, who shot an impressive 67 (-4) on Saturday with an eagle on 17, advanced his position in the individual standings to sixth place (-1). The two-time major winner, who is chasing his first individual victory in LIV Golf’s 2024 season, was optimistic that his team and teammates can secure a victory tomorrow in Andalucia. <\/p>\n

After his solid recovery on Saturday, DeChambeau said: “We are in a good place as a team. Of course I will try my best to win individually. I was very close last year and I would like to achieve it, but if Anirban (Lahiri) gets it, it would be amazing and we will celebrate as he deserves”. <\/p>\n

The best Spaniard at RC Valderrama at the moment, Eugenio L\u00f3pez-Chacarra (Fireballs GC), held firm in third place in the individual standings, recovering from an up and down day in which he suffered a double-bogey on the first hole, to finish the day 2 under par with a 68. He leads the scoreboard for Fireballs GC and keeps his team among the possible winners of the team competition. <\/p>\n

In reference to his day and the complexity of the course, he clarified: “This is Valderrama. Sometimes the balls spin, sometimes they bounce: it’s hard to predict, but I’m very happy overall with my game.”<\/p>\n

The final round of LIV Golf Andaluc\u00eda will start tomorrow, Sunday, at 13:05 hours. Anirban Lahiri (-7), Danny Lee (-3) and Eugenio Lopez-Chacarra (-2) will tee off from hole one. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
