This tournament, part of the European Professional Circuit, counts, among other supports, with the main sponsorship of the company Reale Seguros, which has been sponsoring this competition since 2007. Turespaña and the Consejería de Turismo, Comercio y Deporte de la Junta de Andalucía, among other organizations, also contribute to the celebration of the Open de España 2012. Inaugurated in 1992, the Real Club de Golf de Sevilla is considered a first class course, backed by the celebration of numerous championships of the highest national and international prestige. Among the latter, the organization of the World Golf Cup in 2004 -of great memory since Spain, represented then by Sergio García and Miguel Ángel Jiménez, came second after England-, the Open de Sevilla 2004 -belonging to the PGA European Tour-, the Open de Sevilla 2004 -belonging to the PGA European Tour- and the Open de España 2008 -belonging to the PGA European Tour-, the Open de España 2008 -with that dramatic outcome between Peter Lawrie and Ignacio Garrido to remember-, and Open de España 2010 -spectacular moment of the last Spanish triumph, the one led by Álvaro Quirós-, the Open de Andalucía 2009 or, on a more domestic level, several tournaments of the National Tour. Likewise, and within the amateur field, the Real Club de Golf de Sevilla has hosted the Spanish Absolute Men’s Championship in 1997 and 2005, the Spanish International Men’s Cup S.M. El Rey in 1997, 1999 and 2009 and the Spanish International Women’s Cup S.M. La Reina in 2001. Of 6,529 meters and par 72, this course occupies an area of 61 hectares a few kilometers from the center of the city of Seville. Designed by José María Olazábal, its course is characterized by its demanding and balanced layout. A total of 90 bunkers and 9 lakes add difficulty to the layout, which requires maximum skill and concentration. It will be the third time that Seville hosts such an outstanding event, taking over from the RCG El Prat, the last venue for this tournament, which was won by the South African Thomas Aiken. The promoter of the Open de España 2012 is the Royal Spanish Golf Federation.

The Real Club de Golf de Sevilla will host, for the third time in its history, the Open de España Masculino, which will take place in the capital of Seville between May 3 and 6, 2012, with the memory of the successes achieved in 2008 and 2010 still fresh, when on both occasions nearly 40,000 […]

[125

post-20501","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news
["GET
