The mayoress of Marbella, Mar\u00eda \u00c1ngeles Mu\u00f1oz, and the president of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation, \u00c1ngel de la Riva, have emphasized the human side of the golfer, who started playing golf at the age of 8 at the San Pedro Golf Club and then continued her training at the Guadalmina Golf Club, both in San Pedro Alc\u00e1ntara.<\/div>\nAzahara Mu\u00f1oz is currently twelfth in the world ranking and eighth in the earnings list of the U.S. Women’s LPGA Tour, where she debuted with great success in 2010, winning the Rookie of the Year award as the best rookie player in that professional circuit.<\/span><\/div>\n![](\"https:\/\/andaluciagolf.holaincompany.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/News_azahara-dsc_0743.jpg\")
The golfer from Malaga, with a brilliant amateur curriculum, caused a worldwide sensation when she won her first tournament as a professional in 2009, the Madrid Ladies Open, of the European Women’s Tour. Her next triumph, in 2012, was at the Sybase Match Play Championship on the LPGA Tour. Her third and so far last victory took place last year at the Lacoste Open de France. <\/div>\nThis season she has finished second twice on the LPGA Tour, where she has focused her career. She has also finished fourth twice and has finished in the top ten in total eight times. <\/div>\nSince making his debut on the American Tour in 2010, he has earned $3.4 million in prize money on that circuit, while in the European Tour he has earned \u20ac324,000.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\nPhotos:<\/em><\/div>\n
