The fifth round of the Andaluc\u00eda Golf Challenge circuit, held at Flamingos Golf Club last Saturday, August 23, more than fulfilled the expectations of the amateurs who registered for the tournament: The day was magnificent, without wind or too much heat, and the course was in excellent conditions. All the players praised the maintenance of the “first” Villapadierna Golf Club course. Especially noted were the greens of the course. <\/span>As usual in this circuit, the competition distributed flights to Turkey, with Turkish Airlines, for the winners of each category; as well as hundreds of euros in golf equipment: clubs, bags, balls, etc, from the firm Holiday Golf. The Somontano Denomination of Origin also offered its magnificent Gran Reserva wines for the first three classified in each category, and the Fairways and Blue store, located in Puerto Ban\u00fas, donated an attractive gift for the first classified lady. <\/span><\/p>\n

The Casino de Marbella gave away a voucher to all participants in the tournament, and the raffle held after the prize giving was wide and varied.<\/p>\n

On this occasion the awards were presented by Antonio S\u00e1nchez, editor of the magazine Andaluc\u00eda Golf\/Espa\u00f1a Golf, the publication organizing the event, and Stefan Tjellander, general manager of Holiday Golf.<\/p>\n

As regards the classification, in the first category, Jos\u00e9 I. Arsuaga y Balluguera won with 38 points; second place went to Gabriela Johne, and third place to Julian P\u00e9rez Castillo.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the second category, Luis Mor\u00f3n Semprum won with 41 points, followed by Ram\u00f3n Jes\u00fas Mayor Mart\u00ednez in second place and Dennis Diaconescu in third.<\/p>\n

The best classified lady was Gabriela Johne, in second place was Anne Brit Hansen, and in third place was Francine Giuseppone.<\/p>\n

The longest drive for men was won by Miguel Cevey, the longest drive for ladies by Francine Giuseppone, and the closest ball to the flag went to Pedro Lopez.<\/p>\n

After having played this circuit in Rio Real, Finca Cortesin, San Roque Club Old, La Reserva de Sotogrande, and Flamingos Golf Club, the next event of this tour, Andalucia Golf Challenge 2014, is in the Aloha Golf Club on September 6, in one of the best courses in southern Europe.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
