The high quality of the course and the extraordinary presentation of Golf R\u00edo Real, in Marbella, dazzled all the players at the first event of the IV Andaluc\u00eda Golf Challenge, who praised this prestigious course, designed by one of the greatest Spanish designers, Javier Arana.<\/p>\n

The competition distributed flights to Turkey with Turkish Airlines for the winners of each category, as well as numerous prizes in valuable material (clubs, bags, etc.) from Holiday Golf for the first three classified, who also won cases of gran reserva wines from the Somontano D.O.. The Fairways + Blue store also contributed with different prizes and gifts, as did the Marbella Casino. After the prize-giving ceremony, a raffle of numerous items (polo shirts, bags, wines, liquors, etc.) was held among all the participants. <\/span><\/p>\n

The first event of the Andaluc\u00eda Golf Challenge 2014 Circuit brought together nearly a hundred players, who took part in this open competition promoted by this publication.<\/p>\n

The amateurs who attended the tournament played, in general, at a good level and enjoyed both the course and the good weather, on a day in which the wind hardly made its presence felt and the heat was not oppressive.<\/p>\n

The tournament brought together a varied representation of nationalities, with a preponderance of Spaniards, who greatly enjoyed the sports day.<\/p>\n

The awards ceremony, at the beautiful Rio Real clubhouse, where a cocktail was served, was presided over by the editor of Andalucia Golf, Antonio Sanchez, the director of the host club, Luis Navarro, and the general manager of Holiday Golf, Stefan Tjellander.<\/p>\n

As regards the sporting results, in the first category, the victory went to Carlos Mena Quero, with 39 points. Second place, with 38 points, went to David Lasso de la Vega, and third place, with 36 points, to Guillermo Trenor Navarro. <\/p>\n

In the second category, El\u00edas Azzan Rui won with 43 points. Second, with one point less, was Marina Meleleo, while third place went to Daniel Cuenca G\u00f3mez, who totaled 40 points. <\/p>\n

The special prizes for closest ball to the flag and longest drive went to Pedro Corral and El\u00edas Samuel del Pino, respectively.<\/p>\n

The next appointments of the Andaluc\u00eda Golf Challenge 2014 Circuit are the following: <\/span>Finca Cortes\u00edn (26\/07\/2014), San Roque Old (02\/08\/2014), La Reserva (15(08\/2014), Flamingos (23\/08\/2014) and Aloha (07\/09\/2014). Reservations to participate must be made at each golf course hosting the tournament. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
