Just a few days after returning from the United States, Noem\u00ed Jim\u00e9nez has given a magnificent golf lesson at the opening of the Spanish Individual Championship, which has consumed its first day at the South Course of the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina (Marbella).<\/span><\/p>\n

The Andalusian, who not only returned to Spain, but also to her home course, came out in the third round of the morning and scored a superb 65 (7 under par), the result of seven birdies and no bogey.<\/p>\n

With this result, the player from Malaga has gained a significant advantage, although other of the main contenders for the title also signed good results. This is the case of Camilla Hedberg -another of the newcomers to Spain- and Celia Barqu\u00edn, who finished the day with -2. The player from Asturias leads the Girl classification. <\/p>\n

In addition, Mar\u00eda Herr\u00e1ez, Andrea Jonama and Sara Navarro finished the day under par, all of them with a 71 (-1) in their first appearance in this tournament, which counts towards the World Ranking and the 2014 Absolute, Girl and Cadet National Rankings.<\/p>\n

Noem\u00ed Jim\u00e9nez: “It has been a day in which I have done everything”.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The outstanding performance of Noem\u00ed Jim\u00e9nez cannot be accidental in view of the results she has achieved this year in the United States. In fact, she has just signed a great role in the NCAA final, in which she defended the colors of Arizona State University. <\/p>\n

The Andalusian, still with ‘jet lag’ – arrived three days ago to Spain, was “very happy” after signing a return without any failure. “I’ve played very well all year, with a lot of consistency, and today I was the same. I went stroke by stroke, without setting a goal, but it was one of those days when you get everything. I played incredible from tee to green and I kicked phenomenal,” he said. <\/p>\n

However, Noem\u00ed Jim\u00e9nez, a student of Tourism and Business in the United States, where she still has one more year of career, assured that “there are three days of competition ahead and everything is still to be decided. We have to continue on this path, playing blow by blow”.<\/p>\n

The championship, as is customary, is played in stroke play over four rounds, with a cut-off at the end of the third round at 72nd place.<\/p>\n

Parallel to this event -specifically, on May 31 and June 1- the Spanish Women’s Championship of 3rd and 4th Category 2013 will be held at the same course in Guadalmina.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
