A few days before his second wedding, to be held in Malaga, the player from Churriana has received the recognition of his homeland in the form of the Gold Medal of the Province, in a ceremony organized by the Provincial Council of Malaga. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">In a crowded church of San Jacinto, in the municipality of Macharaviaya, received the aforementioned distinction the famous goflist, writer, poet and columnist Manuel Alc\u00e1ntara; the delegate prosecutor of Andalusia and Malaga of Violence against Women, Flor de Torres, and the Association El Paso de Riogordo.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">Jimenez was very grateful for the distinction awarded and said he felt &#8220;full of pride&#8221; for this award given to him by Malaga, a land &#8220;that has given me everything and to which I try to return part of all this that I receive&#8221;. &#8220;I have been competing for 30 years, and I always carry Malaga within me,&#8221; he added. <\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">The Malaga player referred to the importance of golf, a sport &#8220;that is possibly the most important industry in Malaga, which, with some 60 courses, is the tourist destination for the whole of northern Europe during the winter, which breaks the seasonality and makes all kinds of economy move and there are many jobs around golf.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">In the photograph, Jim\u00e9nez with the president of the Provincial Council of M\u00e1laga, El\u00edas Bendodo, during the Gold Medal award ceremony.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Miguel Angel Jimenez is having a wonderful spring, and not only in the sporting field, with his exceptional performances in the Masters (fourth) and in his debut in the American Senior Tour (first).
