As fate would have it, the annual tournament with the largest following in the world, the Masters, begins on April 9, the same day that the great Severiano Ballesteros, author of so many magical strokes at Augusta National, would have turned 58. Seve won his first green jacket in 1980 and his second, three years later. <\/p>\n

The Spanish pavilion is represented this time in the first Grand Slam event of the year by Sergio Garc\u00eda, Miguel \u00c1ngel Jim\u00e9nez and Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Olaz\u00e1bal.<\/span><\/p>\n

A tournament with a more uncertain prognosis than ever starts on this date.
