Englishman Tyrrell Hatton has celebrated not only his victory in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, but also the inscription of his name in the history of the mythical Old Course of Saint Andrews by equaling with 62 strokes, the record for the best round of the mythical Scottish course.<\/p>\n

The British player achieved on Saturday that exceptional round of 10 under par, which gave him the lead of the tournament, which he held until the end thanks to a final day on Sunday with a 66-under-par card to total 265, 23 under par.<\/p>\n

Hatton started the last day with a three-stroke lead over fellow countryman Ross Fischer. The pressure had no effect and he eventually increased his lead by one stroke. <\/p>\n

The second place was shared between Fischer, who closed his performance with a round of 66 strokes, and South African Richard Sterne, who registered 67 in his last round.<\/p>\n
