We have put all our efforts to ensure that the course is presented in the best possible conditions. We want the image we transmit to be the best, so we have to appreciate the effort of all the workers who have been committed to it\u201d.  <\/p>\n<p>For his part, Jos\u00e9 Bernal, Mayor of Marbella, said that \u201cthis Open is a magnificent opportunity to continue exporting the image of the Costa del Sol \u2013 Costa del Golf, for which we are grateful for the great joint commitment made by all the institutions involved in the tournament.  <\/p>\n<p>\u00c1ngel de la Riva, President of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation, said that this Women\u2019s Spanish Open \u201cwill generate great affection on the part of players and spectators, who will want to come back to Andalusia every year with their families. I reiterate the satisfaction and pride of having the institutions united in favor of the sport of golf. Now we have to enjoy the spectacle, the game of figures like Laura Davies or the Spaniards led by Azahara Mu\u00f1oz. I hope the best one wins\u2026 and that the best one is one of ours\u201d.  <\/p>\n<p>The President of the Association of Municipalities of the Costa del Sol, Margarita del Cid Mu\u00f1oz, focused her speech on highlighting the union of institutions \u201cto turn Marbella, the Costa del Sol and Andalusia in international focus of many looks that have to do with the sport. When you walk hand in hand with the Provincial Council and the Board success is guaranteed. We are all committed to environmentally sustainable tourism and that is why we are committed to golf\u201d.  <\/p>\n<p>El\u00edas Bendodo, President of the Provincial Council of M\u00e1laga, expressed his satisfaction for the joint effort made not only with this tournament, \u201cbut also for the continuous commitment to the Costa del Sol. We are the largest golf offer in Europe, with 70 golf courses, and that must be permanently put in value. We want to promote not only amateur golf, but also professional golf for the promotion it generates. Apart from sun and beach, this is one of the main attractions that produce, among other things, a growth of over 4% in golf tourism this year.  <\/p>\n<p>Finally, Francisco Javier Fern\u00e1ndez, Councilor for Tourism and Sport of the Andalusian Regional Government, stressed the importance of \u201cgoing hand in hand in the same direction. This Open allows us to visualize women\u2019s golf, with many players who have been to the Olympic Games, as well as once again showcasing the quality and excellence of our courses\u201d.  <\/p>\n<p>Francisco Javier Fernandez stressed significant data that highlight the importance of Andalusia as a golf tourist destination. \u201cWe have 20% of the courses in Spain, of all types, many of them with the capacity to host an Open. In addition, golf is a perfect instrument to deseasonalize and keep the tourist offer alive. It offers us a different kind of tourist than the usual one in other segments -11 days of average stay, spending twice as much as the average tourist, 130 euros a day-.
