The splendid\u00a0Real Club de Golf de Sotogrande, masterpiece of Robert Trent Jones senior, one of the most prestigious and prolific designers of golf courses of all time, has hosted with great success the Tournament\u00a0Andaluc\u00eda Golf Challenge, included in the circuit of championships\u00a0open amateurs this year celebrates its seventh edition and is played during the summer in the best\u00a0clubs\u00a0of the Costa del Sol.<\/p>\n
As usual in the tournaments organized by the magazine Andaluc\u00eda Golf, this event brought together players\u00a0among which many nationalities were represented, with a majority of Spanish players.<\/p>\n
The amateurs who attended the tournament generally played at a good level and enjoyed enormously\u00a0of the\u00a0course, which presented magnificent conditions. All without exception praised the design and condition of this course, considered one of the best not only in Spain but also in Europe. <\/p>\n
The awards ceremony, on the upper terrace of the club, overlooking the golf course and the sea and where a splendid cocktail was served, was chaired by the\u00a0editor of Andaluc\u00eda Golf, Antonio S\u00e1nchez, the director of RCG Sotogrande, Agust\u00edn Mazarrasa, and the executive of the golf clothing and footwear store\u00a0Fairway + Blue, based in Puerto Ban\u00fas, Gabriela Johne.<\/p>\n
In terms of sporting results, in the first category, the victory went to Christer Erikisson, with 39\u00a0points, followed by Jos\u00e9 Antonio Rigaud Moreno, with 38, and Juan Garc\u00eda de las Heras, with\u00a037.<\/p>\n
In the second category, Jan Policki won with 41 points.\u00a0Enric Meier Roig was second with 34 points, while Antonio Zarco Mart\u00ednez took third place with 33 points.<\/p>\n
In the scratch category, the best was Pedro Miguel Cervey Mendoza,\u00a0who won a magnificent painting by the prestigious painter Alejandro Hermann, who has a studio in Marbella.<\/p>\n
The special prize for the closest ball to the flag went to Pedro Miguel Cevey, while the longest drives, female and male, went to Lina L\u00f3pez Mart\u00edn and Azim Adatia.<\/p>\n
