When Jon Rahm tees up alongside Jordan Spieth and Rickie Fowler in the first round of the Phoenix Open it is fair to say the main focus will be on the young Spanish star \u2013 in spite of his illustrious company. His win last week in the Farmers Insurance Open propelled him into the spotlight, even if he had already been lurking prominently in the wings ready to confirm his class with a debut USA PGA Tour victory. <\/p>\n
As Alex Myers commented on the Golf Digest website, referring to Tiger Woods\u2019 comeback and missed cut, \u201cAs it turned out, Woods gave us the year\u2019s most over-hyped performance outside of\u00a0La La Land\u00a0(more like \u201cBlah Blah Land,\u201d am I right? Closer attention is also being paid to Rahm\u2019s life away from the fairways. Arizona State University, for example, posted a photo of him with girlfriend Kelley Cahill on its website blog. Both attended the university where Cahill, who is from Portland (Oregon), competed in the track and field javelin throwing team. <\/p>\n
