Speaking in a Golf Digest podcast in the United States, where he is based, the 21-year-old revealed he had purchased a red Porsche. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m not sure how much my parents like it,&#8221; he said somewhat sheepishly, according to the magazine, while also declining to reveal the model &#8220;partly out of fear of being too braggadocio.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Rahm noted that the car was the first he&#8217;d ever bought, and symbolised all the hard work he&#8217;d put in, on and off the course, since focusing solely on golf as a teenager. &#8220;It&#8217;s good for me to see it, wake up every day and see what I&#8217;ve accomplished the last eight years.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>Rahm won just over $1 million in seven events on the 2015-16 US PGA Tour after turning pro in June; and another $96,000 this new season in one start (not to mention what are likely to be quite lucrative endorsement deals).<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Young Spanish golfing sensation Jon Rahm has remained modest about his impressive pro debut but has allowed himself one indulgence.
