\u201cI love being in that situation, I see it as similar to me having the penalty in the last few minutes. I like it, I\u2019ve always liked the pressure. It motivates me and makes me play my best golf. In those decisive moments I only see the ball and the hole\u201d, said the Biscayan in an appearance before the media in a room at the Real Sociedad de Golf de Neguri, his \u201cfavorite\u201d course and his home, sportingly speaking.<\/p>\n
Accompanied by his father, Edorta, and Jos\u00e9 Miguel Barrenechea \u2018Jota\u2019, from Jon\u2019s team in Spain, Rahm said he was \u201cproud\u201d to have several dozen media and \u201cgrateful\u201d for the \u201cfollowing\u201d he has \u201cin Spain\u201d.<\/p>\n

He also recalled that the first thing he wanted to be when he grew up \u201cwas an Athletic goalkeeper\u201d, of whose team he is such a staunch supporter that he has in his house in Arizona \u201cthe red and white flag\u201d \u201cin the middle of the trophies because it is the most important thing\u201d.<\/p>\n
For this reason, he wished more than predicted a \u201c1-0\u201d for Saturday\u2019s Athletic-Real Madrid game at San Mam\u00e9s. \u201cAgainst Madrid, 1-0 is good enough for all of us\u201d, he agreed with the journalists, all aware of the delicate moment of the Bilbao team. <\/p>\n

Even so, he has set as \u201ca goal\u201d in the medium term \u201cto be number 1 in the world\u201d, something he sees \u201cmuch closer than 10 years ago\u201d, when he first got excited about it. But he considers it \u201cvery difficult because great players like Phil Mickelson or Sergio (Garcia) have not arrived\u201d. <\/p>\n
\u201cNow I have three players ahead of me with a lot of quality and also many behind me. The good thing is that I have just started, but it is a goal,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Other wishes he has verbalized are that \u201chopefully Bizkaia will have a European Tour tournament\u201d in the future and that there will be some sort of tournament to help young players \u201chave what I didn\u2019t have\u201d.<\/p>\n
He also advanced for 2018, which he assumed should almost give him \u201cvertigo\u201d for what he achieved in 2017, a similar calendar\u201d to this year and that Tim Mickelson will no longer be his manager, as he will continue to caddy for his brother Phil. A double task with which now the Spanish golfer did not feel \u201cvery comfortable\u201d.<\/p>\n
