{"id":21807,"date":"2017-10-17T10:24:03","date_gmt":"2017-10-17T10:24:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/andaluciagolf.com\/popular-summer-circuit-hosted-by-andalucia-golf\/"},"modified":"2017-10-17T10:24:03","modified_gmt":"2017-10-17T10:24:03","slug":"popular-summer-circuit-hosted-by-andalucia-golf","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/andaluciagolf.com\/en\/popular-summer-circuit-hosted-by-andalucia-golf\/","title":{"rendered":"Popular Summer Circuit Hosted by Andaluc\u00eda Golf"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The seventh edition of the Andaluc\u00eda Golf Challenge was a resounding success, with an international melting pot of golfers enjoying excellent weather, magnificent courses and a pleasant social atmosphere.<\/p>\n<p>Organised by Andaluc\u00eda Golf magazine, the hugely popular summer circuit was held at a veritable cr\u00e8me de la cr\u00e8me of golf clubs on the Costa del Sol, and indeed in Spain: Royal Guadalmina (South Course), designed by Spanish maestro Javier Arana; Royal Sotogrande, the creation of legendary U.S. designer Robert Trent Jones; La Reserva Club Sotogrande, created by another top international designer, Cabell B. Robinson; San Roque Resort (Old Course), a celebrated European Tour venue: Flamingos, in the ultra-luxurious setting of Villa Padierna Resort; and Finca Cortes\u00edn, three times a host of the World Match Play Championship.<\/p>\n<p>Each tournament concluded with a first-class cocktail reception in an amicable clubhouse setting, with top-quality prizes and gifts provided by fairway+blue, Holiday Golf, Somontano Wines, Marbella-based artist Alejandro Hermann and other sponsors.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Royal Guadalmina<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The first category winner was Christian Reynders (39&nbsp;points), followed by Luis Mansilla (37) and Pablo Marques (36). The second category was won by Yamelichau Aliaksandr (40) with David Morales second (38) and Mar\u00eda Eugenia Urra (third (38). In category three, Jan Policki led the way (40), Patricia Jim\u00e9nez was second (38) and Jos\u00e9 Antonio Arocha was third (37). The scratch winner was Christian Reynders.   <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Royal Sotogrande<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Christer Erikisson tallied 39 points to lead the way in category one, followed by Jos\u00e9 Antonio Rigaud Moreno (38) and Juan Garc\u00eda de las Heras (37). The category two winner was Jan Policki (41), with Enric Meier Roig (34) second and Antonio Zarco Mart\u00ednez (33) third. Winner of the scratch prize was Pedro Miguel Cervey Mendoza,  <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>La Reserva Club Sotogrande<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Category one was won by Almudena Ucillos with 40 points, followed by Thomas Johansson (38) and Enrique Bejarano (36). Leading the way in category two was Elena Zagrebelnaya (41), with Sam Moss (38) second and Lourdes G\u00f3mez L\u00f3pez (36) third. The scratch prize was secured by Jean Claude Goetz,  <\/p>\n<p>The prize-giving ceremony was accompanied by a &#8220;championship&#8221; surprise &#8211; the presence of multiple European Tour and World Cup champion Manuel Pi\u00f1ero, who spoke affectionately about Andaluccelebrates its ar wedish, FGrenmion Manuel Pi\u00f1ero.<\/p>\n<p>itifs followed by a paella and bhouse, accompanied by ussian, Swedish, FGrenm\u00eda Golf, which this year celebrates its 30th anniversary,<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>San Roque<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pedro Miguel Cevey Mendoza won category one with a total of 41 points, followed by Alberto Mu\u00f1oz S\u00e1nchez (40) and David Steele (39). The winner of category two was Ana Isabel Irimia Di\u00e9guez (40), with Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Caballero G\u00f3mez (39) second and Francisco Javier Salto Gonz\u00e1lez (38) third. The scratch prize was won by David Steele,  <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Flamingos<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The winner of category one was Jorge Gonz\u00e1lez Jacob (41 points), followed by Santiago Gutierrez Duque and Alfonso Villalonga Garc\u00eda (both with 38 points but the former finishing runner-up thanks to a lower handicap). The leading player in category two was Jake Macintyre (44 points), with Esteban Ferr\u00f3n second (also 44 but with a higher handicap) and third Araceli Puga Garc\u00eda (40 points). The scratch prize went to Jonathon Calister,  <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Finca Cortesin<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Lars Hoft tallied 36 points to win the category one prize, followed by Sergey Falaleev (32), and Feliciano Garc\u00eda, Miguel Girb\u00e9s and Azim Adatia (31). Leading the way in category two was Sergey Kuznetsov (44), with Mrs. Zahid second (42) and Michael Rygol third (38).
