To this end, they are launching the \u201cSeve & Jon golf for kids\u201d tour for boys and girls under 16. The program, comprising five qualifying events and a final, will be held at facilities across Cantabria, Navarre and the Basque Country.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">The contestants will test their skills in three aspects of the game: distance, short game and putting.<b> <\/b>Each event is limited to a maximum of 120 participants by order of registration, and each player may enter only one qualifier. The contestants will compete under the following age categories: <\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li3\"><span class=\"s3\"><\/span><span class=\"s2\">Boys and girls 10 years and under (maximum handicap 54.0) \u2013 25 players<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li3\"><span class=\"s2\">Boys and girls 11-12 years (maximum handicap 48.0) \u2013 25 players<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li3\"><span class=\"s2\">Boys 13-14 years (maximum handicap 42.0) \u2013 20 players<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li3\"><span class=\"s2\">Girls 13-14 years (maximum handicap 42.0) \u2013 20 players<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li3\"><span class=\"s2\">Boys 15-16 years (maximum handicap 36.0) \u2013 15 players<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li3\"><span class=\"s2\">Girls 15-16 years (maximum handicap 36.0) \u2013 15 players<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p5\"><span class=\"s2\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\"><b>Seve & Jon golf for kids schedule:<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li3\"><span class=\"s3\"><\/span><span class=\"s2\">August 23 \u2013 Real Golf of Pedre\u00f1a (Cantabria)<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li3\"><span class=\"s2\">August 28 \u2013 Real Nuevo Nuevo Club de Golf Basoz\u00e1bal (San Sebasti\u00e1n, Guip\u00fazcoa)<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li3\"><span class=\"s2\">August 29 \u2013 Larrabea Golf Club (Legutio, \u00c1lava)<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li3\"><span class=\"s2\">September 4 \u2013 Ulzama Golf Club (Navarra)<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li3\"><span class=\"s2\">September 5 \u2013 Real Sociedad de Golf de Neguri (Getxo, Vizcaya)<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li3\"><span class=\"s2\">Final event presided by Jon Rahm TBD in December at Meaztegi Golf (Ortuella, Vizcaya)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">Participants must sign up through their respective Autonomous Golf Federation. All registration fees \u2013 \u20ac15 \u2013 will be donated to the Aladina Foundation, a cancer support group offering a holistic approach of care for young cancer patients and their families. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">The format of each event consists of three contests \u2013 distance, short game and putting \u2013 for all the participants. This format is designed to create an enjoyable experience in order to attract the kids to the game of golf and its inherent values. Points will be awarded for performance in each contest, and the total number of points will make up the player\u2019s score.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">There will be trophies for the first three in each category, who will be entitled to enter the final event at Meaztegi Golf (Ortuella, Vizcaya), hosted by Jon Rahm and Seve Ballesteros\u2019s children in December. Every participant will receive a gift. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">Besides the full involvement of leading actors, Jon Rahm and Javier, Miguel, and Carmen Ballesteros, as well as the support of <b>Tamoin<\/b>, the <b>\u201cSeve & Jon golf for kids\u201d<\/b> U-16 tour enjoys the collaboration of <b>Subaru<\/b>, <b>TaylorMade<\/b>, the <b>Royal Spanish Golf Federation <\/b>and the <b>Autonomous Federations of Cantabria<\/b>, <b>Navarre<\/b> and the <b>Basque Country.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\"><b>Jon Rahm:  <\/b><i>\u201cI am honoured to launch this golf tour for children and to be part of this great opportunity of promoting our sport. I have said many times that Seve means everything to me, he was my hero and he is a truly indisputable benchmark in Spanish golf. I took up golf thanks to Seve; he inspired me to be where I am today, so I am proud and excited to share this initiative that bears his name. We have selected an enjoyable format because we want the kids to have fun and want them to come back.
