La Quinta Real Estate Group has been carrying out major infrastructure and modification works over the last 10 years in order to convert the area into a five-star urbanisation of reference on the Mediterranean coast.<\/p>\n

The project is being developed with the aim of building a luxury residential resort that integrates perfectly into the natural environment, with maximum respect for the surrounding ecosystem. The use of renewable energy and meticulous care of the environment are priorities in this regard. Undoubtedly one of the main attractions of the urbanisation, however, will be an immense artificial lake located in a privileged area as the focal point of the resort\u2019s social and sporting life. When asked about what differentiates this new resort from other luxury projects on the Costa del Sol, he notes, \u201camong other aspects, the variety of facilities and services for leisure, providing maximum enjoyment and fun options to the whole family\u201d.<\/p>\n

Regarding the artificial lake, he points out that, with almost four hectares of water, it will be the largest in Spain. \u201cIt will be 400 meters long and an average of 80 meters wide, will have a pool area and a beach area, and can be used for non-motor nautical activities: that is, kayak, paddle surfing, windsurfing, sailing, etc. The lake is going to be an exceptional part of this resort.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

First Real Estate Phase<\/b><\/p>\n

Work has begun on the first real estate phase of Real de La Quinta, called Olivos, and the initial homes are due to be delivered at the end of next year. It is an apartment complex with luxury features, large terraces and fantastic sea views. Despite the fact that the project has only recently begun to be marketed, more than 60 per cent of the 90 homes that make up this first development have already been sold \u2013 to a mostly European international clientele. Given the high quality of the properties, the prices are extremely competitive, starting at \u20ac390,000. <\/p>\n

The apartments are characterised by a modern architectural style with highly personal touches. \u201cWe wanted to get away from the square blocks we see today on the Costa del Sol and in almost all of Spain,\u201d explains the La Quinta Real Estate Group CEO. \u201cThat\u2019s why we are including elements of the original plot, so that the houses are contextualised in the specific area where they are located. We are using the plot\u2019s own stone and natural elements such as wood in the fa\u00e7ade, which generates a more organic architecture, more integrated into the local environment. What we want to do is provide the homes with their own personality.\u201d <\/p>\n

Sustainability<\/b><\/p>\n

Being the first resort in Europe to have the prestigious Breeam certificate of environmental and social sustainability is another incentive for future residents in the urbanisation. \u201cWhat we are seeking,\u201d says Pascual, \u201cis a minimisation of the resources needed for construction and housing use. For example, water for irrigation of the green areas has to be recycled from that used in the homes for domestic use, or come from stored rainwater. The use of solar energy sources will also be highlighted and the best insulation will be used in the construction. Another requirement for obtaining the certificate is that suppliers are local, located at a maximum distance of 80 kilometers from the resort, and another refers to the waste materials generated by the building works.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cWith this certification,\u201d he adds, \u201cwe offer a plus of quality to our customers, who will have fewer expenses thanks to energy efficiency. We also fulfill the company\u2019s philosophy of excellence, and in addition we are one step ahead of what current regulations demand.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Twelve-Hole Course<\/b><\/p>\n

One of the most interesting individual features of Real de La Quinta will unquestionably be its golf course, the first 12-hole layout to be built in Spain. Designed by three-time World Cup champion Manolo Pi\u00f1ero, the course will be built around the urbanisation\u2019s large lake. According to Pascual, \u201cThe course will have six fairways and two greens per fairway, so you can play either a round of six holes, or two rounds with 12 different holes, or add a third to complete 18 holes. <\/p>\n

\u201cMore and and more people,\u201d he says, \u201chave less time to play golf and, instead of dedicating five hours for 18 holes or two and a half for nine holes, they prefer to play an hour and half before going to work.
