Palm Beach is not only home to some of the best golfers on the PGA Tour, but also to the future stars of the LPGA Tour, the U.S. Women\u2019s Tour. Lake Worth native Alexa Pano will begin living her childhood dream today when she tees it up at the Thornberry Creek LPGA Classic. It will be a big milestone to play her first LPGA Tour tournament because the big news is that Alexa is only 13 years old, although she has a great resume of sporting success: 9 world titles and 62 national titles. <\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I was 5 years old I knew I wanted to be here on the LPGA Tour someday,\u201d Pano says. \u201cBut I didn\u2019t know it would come so soon. Being here with an invitation from sponsors is different than being here with the Tour card, of course, but still being here at such a young age is really exciting. I think the 5-year-old Alexa would be really proud.\u201d
Alexa was already the youngest golfer to play in an LPGA Tour tournament, in Japan in 2016, when she was just 11 years old, so she doesn\u2019t feel too much pressure, even though she\u2019s going up against some of the best players in the world \u2026 . <\/p>\n

\u201cI think I\u2019ll take it like any other tournament,\u201d the teenager says. \u201cIt\u2019s another golf course, another week, so I\u2019ll focus on my own game, and not thinking about what the others are doing, and trying to compare myself to them.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
