The Real Club de Golf Sotogrande lived up to the great expectations that this course always awakens and received the unanimous praise of the players who, over two days, played the third tournament of the Andaluc\u00eda Golf Challenge 2018 Circuit Destination ‘La Romana Golf Club Bah\u00eda Pr\u00edncipe’ in Dominican Republic. The layout designed by the legendary Robert Trent Jones presented magnificent conditions, and the prevailing sunny weather contributed to enhance a great sporting day. <\/span><\/p>\n The first classified in the RCG Sotogrande in first category were, in this order, the following: Francisco Javier Garc\u00eda Mar\u00edn (38 points), Rolf Leuner (38), Alejandro Mart\u00ednez Arasso (37), Antonio Javier Garc\u00eda Fr\u00edas (36), David Campbell (35) and Jes\u00fas S\u00e1nchez Onieva (35).<\/span><\/p>\n In the second category, the five who won a place in the grand final were Pedro Luis G\u00f3mez Mart\u00ednez (46 points), Gin\u00e9s Gonz\u00e1lez Asensio (37), Saverio Ronca (36), Francisco L\u00f3pez Castro (36) and Rainer Joachi Nickel (36).<\/span><\/p>\n The scratch winner was Francisco Javier Garc\u00eda Mar\u00edn, who was awarded a painting by the renowned and highly regarded Marbella-based painter Alejandro Hermann. The special prize for the closest ball to the 17th hole went to Juan Cort\u00e9s, while the prizes for the longest drive on the 18th hole went to Ana Mar\u00eda L\u00f3pez and Carlos Mena. <\/span><\/p>\n The sports party concluded at the clubhouse facilities with a magnificent cocktail and the awarding of prizes and raffle of gifts.<\/span><\/p>\n The next appointments of the Andaluc\u00eda Golf Challenge 2018 Destination ‘La Romana Golf Club Bah\u00eda Pr\u00edncipe’ Circuit are the following: July 28 at La Reserva de Sotogrande; August 11 at San Roque New Course; August 18 at Flamingos and August 25 at Valle Romano.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n HEADING TO THE CARIBBEAN<\/b><\/p>\n The top five in each category in each tournament qualify for the Grand Final, where the five one-week all-inclusive trips to ‘La Romana Golf Club Bahia Principe’ in the Dominican Republic will be decided.<\/p>\n The first two classified in each category and the scratch winner of the Grand Final, to be played in September at a course to be determined, will travel to the Caribbean country. In addition to the prizes for each tournament (top brand clothing from the fairway+blue store, D.O. Somontano wines, sports equipment, etc.), the first five classified in each category obtain a place to play in the final of the Circuit and thus opt for one of the five week-long trips to the Dominican Republic that includes flight, hotel (Bah\u00eda Pr\u00edncipe) and four days of golf (two at La Romana Golf Club, one at Punta Espada and another at Diente de Perro).<\/span><\/p>\n
