The Andaluc\u00eda Golf Challenge circuit begins a new season on 7 April at San Roque Club, with a special new incentive for those taking part. At the end of the series of events being held from April to August \u2013 at the Costa del Sol\u2019s top courses \u2013 the winners in various categories will gain a place in the Grand Final and have the opportunity of winning one of five great prizes of an all-inclusive golf holiday in the Dominican Republic. <\/p>\n

San Roque Old will host the first leg of the 2018 Andaluc\u00eda Golf Challenge Destination \u201cLa Romana Golf Club Bah\u00eda Pr\u00edncipe\u201d on Saturday 7 April (shotgun start at 9.30 am). The entry fee for the tournament is \u20ac120 with a shared buggy, with the prize-giving cocktail reception also included. There will be major prizes for the top three players in each category, as well as for the winners of the longest drive (men and women) and closest to the pin, plus a special prize for the scratch winner. <\/p>\n

The top five in each category qualify for the grand final, which will decide the five winners of one-week all-inclusive trips to La Romana Golf Club Bah\u00eda Pr\u00edncipe in the Dominican Republic.<\/p>\n

The top two in each category and the scratch winner in the Grand Final, to be held in September at a venue still to be confirmed, will travel to the Caribbean. (Estimated travel dates: seven days from 22 to 31 October 2018.) <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Organised by Andaluc\u00eda Golf Magazine, the tournament will be an individual stableford format played in two categories, with a shotgun start at 9.30 am.<\/p>\n

Course Description<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Old Course at San Roque Club, designed by former Ryder Cup player Dave Thomas, is considered one of Europe\u2019s finest courses. The course hosted the 2005 Open de Espa\u00f1a and for several years was the venue for the European Tour Qualifying School. It is a members\u2019 course but also welcomes visiting golfers. The front nine winds its way through a profusion of cork trees; while water is a main feature of the second nine. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
