During a stellar 30-year career on the European Tour, Miguel \u00c1ngel Jim\u00e9nez has teed up in 691 tournaments and won 21 times – including setting the record as the first (and to date only) 50-year-old champion. Now he is set to break new ground, making his debut in Spain on the Staysure Tour (aka the European Senior Tour). <\/p>\n

The 54-year-old, who is still a regular on the European Tour, has confirmed his participation in the inaugural Costa Blanca Benidorm Senior Golf Masters at Meli\u00e3 Villaitana Golf Club in Benidorm from 29 November 29 to 1 December.<\/p>\n

He has made regular appearances at senior major championships since turning 50 in 2014, and is a four-time winner on the PGA Champions Tour, but this will be his first appearance in a regular Staysure Tour<\/p>\n

“It is important for all of us to have tournaments of this level on this tour,” said Jimenez. “We had a golden era some years ago with many events and to have another new Staysure Tour event on the schedule will surely help promote many more.” <\/p>\n

The Costa Blanca Benidorm Senior Golf Masters marks the return of the Staysure Tour to Spanish soil after a six-year absence.<\/p>\n
