Making the driving range more attractive by applying latest image technology and measurement of ball flight parameters is the goal of Toptracer Range, a technology that is being incorporated in leaps and bounds around the world and has just landed at Royal Guadalmina Golf Club. The Marbella club has become the first in Andaluc\u00eda to offer this cutting edge technology to members and visitors, who are now able to enjoy an innovative and pleasant practice and leisure experience through 21-inch monitors installed on 15 tees at the practice range. <\/span><\/p>\n Using ball tracking technology with high-definition cameras, Toptracer provides accurate and live data that can be used for both practice purposes and to compete in matches and challenges with friends. It enables us, for example, to visualise the result of each shot we hit, including data on distance, speed, launch angle, trajectory, deviation, etc. <\/span><\/p>\n Another of its uses is to be able to play, virtually, different courses around the world, including the Old Course at St Andrews and Pebble Beach Links. You can play them alone or compete against several players in a match. You can also choose to compete for the longest drive or closest to the pin. There are numerous possibilities for both entertainment and practice thanks to the detailed information that Toptracer offers for each stroke. <\/span><\/p>\n Paul Williams and Jos\u00e9 M\u00e1rquez, managing director of Toptracer in Europe and company sales director, respectively, presented the Toptracer Range today to a large group of Costa del Sol golf course directors at Royal Guadalmina Golf Club. Royal Guadalmina director Ignacio del Cuvillo hosted the presentation, which was attended by Sean Corte-Real, Ignacio Apolinario, Juan \u00c1lvarez, Pedro Mor\u00e1n, Domingo Gavira, Ignacio S\u00e1nchez, James Beesley, Fernando Jim\u00e9nez, Victoria Dom\u00ednguez and Francisco Aymerich.
