La Reserva Club de Sotogrande<\/span> was the magnificent setting for the 10th and final event before the grand final of the 2019 Andaluc\u00eda Golf Challenge Circuit Destination Riviera Maya Golf Club Bah\u00eda Pr\u00edncipe in Mexico. A total of 92 players teed up on a sunny day with some \u201clevante\u201d (easterly) wind but not enough to prevent good scoring. The course, recently the venue for the inaugural La Reserva Invitational on the Ladies European Tour, hosted by Annika Sorenstam, was as always in superb condition and garnered widespread praise. <\/p>\n

The same as with all the other nine events held this year as part of the popular circuit, organized by Andaluc\u00eda Golf\/Espa\u00f1a Golf and sponsored by Riviera Maya Bah\u00eda Pr\u00edncipe, Exxacon and Reale-Galpe, both Spanish and foreign players came together in a tournament with a wonderful cosmopolitan atmosphere. After the competition, an excellent cocktail reception was held in the stunning La Reserva clubhouse, followed by the prize-giving ceremony and gifts raffle. <\/p>\n

In addition to the prizes presented for each tournament (top-brand clothes from fairway+blue boutique, DO Somontano wines, sports equipment, etc.), the top five finishers in each category won places in the grand final of the circuit with a chance to opt for one of five trips to Riviera Maya that includes flights, hotel accommodation (in Riviera Maya Bahia Principe Resort) and golf at three extraordinary courses in the Mexican Caribbean: Riviera Maya Golf Club, El Camale\u00f3n Mayakoba (a US PGA Tour tournament venue) and Playa Paraiso.<\/span><\/p>\n

The top finishers at La Reserva in category one, obtaining a place for the grand final, were (in order): Jos\u00e9 Manuel Saiz (with 38 points), Pelayo Jim\u00e9nez Men\u00e9ndez (37), Francisco L\u00f3pez Castro (37), M\u00f3nica Maldonado Luna (36) and Francisco Corsini Freese (36).<\/span><\/p>\n

In category two, the five making it to the grand final were: Gustavo Teruel Prieto (44), Javier Burgu\u00e9s Hoyos (40), Enric Meier Roig (38), Salvador Garc\u00eda Ram\u00edrez (36) and Esteban Rodr\u00edguez Sevillano (36).<\/span><\/p>\n

The scratch winner was Pelayo Jim\u00e9nez Men\u00e9ndez.<\/span><\/p>\n

The grand final of the <\/span>2019 Andaluc\u00eda Golf Challenge Destination Riviera Maya Golf Club Bahia Principe in Mexico Circuit <\/span>will be played on 7 September at Alferini (Villa Padierna Golf Resort).<\/span><\/p>\n

The top five in each category and the scratch winner qualify for the grand final, which will decide the five winners of one-week all-inclusive trips to Riviera Maya Club Bah\u00eda Pr\u00edncipe in Mexico. The top two in each category and the scratch winner in the Grand Final, to be held in September at Alferini, will travel to Riviera Maya. <\/p>\n
