Players were welcomed by sunny weather and an almost a windless day when they teed up at the magnificent <\/span>Valle Romano Golf Resort (Estepona) <\/span>in the eighth edition of the 2019 Andaluc\u00eda Golf Challenge Destination Riviera Maya Golf Club Bah\u00eda Principe in Mexico Circuit.<\/p>\n

Organised by Andaluc\u00eda Golf\/Espa\u00f1a Golf and sponsored by Riviera Maya Bah\u00eda Pr\u00edncipe, Exxacon and Reale-Galpe, the tournament attracted both Spanish and foreign players – as is customary on the popular annual amateur circuit.<\/p>\n

In addition to the prizes presented for each tournament (top-brand clothes from fairway+blue boutique, DO Somontano wines, sports equipment, etc.), the top five finishers in each category won places in the grand final of the circuit with a chance to opt for one of five trips to Riviera Maya that includes flights, hotel accommodation (in Luxury Bahia Principe Sian Ka’an *****) and golf at three extraordinary courses in the Mexican Caribbean: Riviera Maya Golf Club, El Camale\u00f3n Mayakoba (a US PGA Tour tournament venue) and Playa Paraiso.<\/p>\n

The top finishers at San Roque in category one, obtaining a place for the grand final, were (in order): Seraf\u00edn Linares Garc\u00eda (42 points), Celia Nebot Lorente (39), Rolf Leuner (39), V\u00edctor Naz (37) and Francisco Javier Le\u00f3n Blanco.<\/span><\/p>\n

In category two, the five making it to the grand final were: Eva Camacho Torrent (40 points), Diego Hidalgo Carrasco (37), Pedro Luis G\u00f3mez Mart\u00ednez (36), Jose L\u00e1zaro L\u00f3pez Carrillo (3& and Jaime Cervera Rom\u00e1n (36).<\/span><\/p>\n

The scratch winner was Marcos Ler\u00eda (39), the special prize for nearest to the pin went to Rolf Leuner<\/span>, and the prizes for longest drives were won by Celia Nebot and Marcus Dons<\/span>.<\/p>\n

The day of golf concluded at Valle Romano’s superb clubhouse with an excellent BBQ, prize-giving ceremony and gifts raffle.<\/p>\n

Forthcoming events on the Andaluc\u00eda Golf Challenge Destination Riviera Maya Golf Club Bah\u00eda Principe are 17 August at Flamingos and 24 August at La Reserva Club Sotogrande, with the grand final on 7 September at Alferini Villa Padierna.<\/strong><\/p>\n

DESTINATION “RIVIERA MAYA GOLF CLUB BAH\u00cdA PR\u00cdNCIPE” IN MEXICO<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 2019 Andaluc\u00eda Golf Challenge Destination Riviera Maya Golf Club Bahia Principe in Mexico Circuit began on 10 April at Golf Santander (Madrid) and will conclude at La Reserva Club Sotogrande on 24 August. The grand final will be played on 7 September at Alferini (Villa Padierna Golf Resort). <\/p>\n

The top five in each category and the scratch winner qualify for the grand final, which will decide the five winners of one-week all-inclusive trips to Riviera Maya Club Bah\u00eda Pr\u00edncipe in Mexico. The top two in each category and the scratch winner in the Grand Final, to be held in September at Alferini, will travel to Riviera Maya. <\/p>\n
