Held at Santa Clara Golf Marbella, the fourth leg of the Andaluc\u00eda Golf Challenge Destination \u201cRiviera Maya Golf Club Bahia Principe\u201d in Mexico amateur circuit matched the first three as a resounding success. In fact, many golfers were unable to participate as all available places had been taken up days before. Those who were fortunate enough to tee up in the event enjoyed a wonderful day\u2019s golf\u2019s on an outstanding course \u2013 and excellent weather conditions. <\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to the prizes presented for each tournament (top-brand clothes from fairway+blue boutique, DO Somontano wines, sports equipment, etc.), the top five finishers in each category won places in the grand final of the circuit with a chance to opt for one of five trips to Riviera Maya that includes flights, hotel accommodation (in Riviera Maya Bahia Principe Resort) and golf at three extraordinary courses in the Mexican Caribbean: Riviera Maya Golf Club, El Camale\u00f3n Mayakoba (a US PGA Tour tournament venue) and Paradise Beach.<\/span><\/p>\n

The main 2019 sponsors of the Andaluc\u00eda Golf Challenge Circuit, which this year celebrates its ninth edition and is organised by Andaluc\u00eda Golf magazine, are property developer Exxaxon and Reale Seguros-Galpe.<\/span><\/p>\n

The first three top finishers at Santa Clarain category one were, in order: Antonio Cobo Gonz\u00e1lez (41 points), David Currie (41) and Jos\u00e9 Miguel Rodr\u00edguez de Pablo (40).<\/span><\/p>\n

Leading the way in category two was \u00c1arina Budantseva (40 points), followed by Antonio Mu\u00f1oz Lanzas (38) and Jos\u00e9 Luis Molina de Carranza (42). Nicol\u00e1s Otero da Gam had finished third, but was not allowed to win a prize due to age limit regulations applying to the event. <\/span><\/p>\n

The scratch winner was lmudena Ucillos Barcarce, with 35 points. Special prizes for closest to the pin, and men\u2019s and women\u2019s longest drives, went to Andrey Victorson, Karina Budantseva and Juusi Harju, respectively. Interestingly, Harju had also won the same prize in the previous circuit leg at Mijas Golf. <\/span><\/p>\n

The prize-giving ceremony was presided over by Reyes Pintado representing Santa Clara Golf Marbella, Alejandra M\u00e9ndez for Exxon, <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

fairway+blue director Gabriela Jones, and Andaluc\u00eda Golf magazine\u2019s Antonio S\u00e1nchez and Luis Navarro. The day\u2019s golf concluded with a cocktail reception in Santa Clara Golf Marbella\u2019s magnificent clubhouse. <\/span><\/p>\n
