<\/strong>The splendid Finca Cortesin<\/strong> course, designed by the prestigious American designer Cabell B. Robinson<\/strong> and the scene of three editions of the Volvo World Match Play Championship<\/strong>, has hosted with great success the eleventh meeting of the Andalucia Golf Challenge 2020 Destination Dominican Republic Ocean\u2019s 4 Bah\u00eda Pr\u00edncipe<\/strong>, a circuit of open amateur championships which this year celebrates its tenth edition and is played in sixteen excellent courses, among which are several of the best in Spain. This Circuit, organized by the magazine Andaluc\u00eda Golf<\/strong>, has as its grand finale prize<\/span> <\/span>five one-week trips to the Dominican Republic <\/span><\/strong>including flights, transfers, five-star all-inclusive hotel and golf at three of the best courses in the Caribbean: Ocean\u2019s 4, Teeth of The Dog and Punta Espada<\/span>.<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n

On a sunny day, the strong Levante wind and the fast greens (some of the fastest on this year\u2019s Tour) made the players bring out all their golfing potential to pass the course with flying colors. In addition to the intrinsic quality of the course, the five-star service provided at this emblematic Costa del Sol club located in the municipality of Casares is another of the features most appreciated by the players. <\/p>\n

Apart from the prizes of each tournament (premium branded clothing from the store <\/span>Fairway+Blue <\/span><\/strong>in Puerto Ban\u00fas, <\/span><\/strong>wines <\/span>D<\/strong>.O. Somontano,<\/strong> <\/span>sports equipment from <\/span>Holiday Golf,<\/strong> <\/span>etc.), the first three classified in each category plus the scratch winner of each tournament get a place to play the grand final of the Circuit (Atalaya Old, November 21) and thus opt for one of the five one-week trips to the Dominican Republic.<\/p>\n

As far as the sporting results are concerned, in the first category<\/strong> the victory went to Joseph Shirazi<\/strong> (42 points), followed by Francisco Javier Mart\u00edn Ram\u00edrez<\/strong> (36), and Feliciano Garc\u00eda Barrag\u00e1n<\/strong> (36). As a curious fact, it should be noted that the latter player was also third in Finca Cortes\u00edn in the 1987 edition of the Andaluc\u00eda Golf Challenge Circuit and also won that year the special prize for the longest drive. As Shirazi has achieved a place in the final of the Circuit as scratch winner, the fourth classified in the first category, Diego Mena Galiano<\/strong>, who registered 33 points, gets a place in the final. <\/p>\n

In the second category<\/strong>, Antonio Capasso<\/strong> won with 41 points. In second place, with 40 points, was Diego Ange Serrano<\/strong>, while third place went to Luis Miguel Rodr\u00edguez Mart\u00ednez<\/strong>, who scored 39 points. <\/p>\n

In the scratch category<\/strong>, the winner was Joseph Shirazi<\/strong>, with 34 scratch points, two more than Francisco Jes\u00fas Mart\u00ednez Ram\u00edrez <\/strong>and Javier Reviriego B\u00f3veda<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The special prize for the closest ball to the flag<\/strong> went to Carlos Guti\u00e9rrez<\/strong>, who also won the prize for the longest drive<\/strong>, together with Karine Svaldi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

<\/span>The next event of the<\/strong> Andaluc\u00eda Golf Challenge 2020 Destination Dominican Republic Ocean\u2019s 4 Bahia Principe Circuit<\/strong> is<\/span> on September 6<\/strong><\/span> <\/strong>September at the RCG Guadalhorce. <\/span><\/strong> <\/p>\n

The top three in each category plus the scratch winner qualify for the Grand Final, where five one-week all-inclusive trips to the Playa Nueva Romana resort of Bah\u00eda Pr\u00edncipe in the Dominican Republic with golf at Ocean\u2019s 4, Punta Espada and Teeth of The Dog<\/strong> will be decided. The top two finishers in each category and the scratch winner of the Grand Final will travel to the Dominican Republic. <\/p>\n
