For the first time in its thirteen-year history, the Andaluc\u00eda Golf Challenge Destino PGA Riviera Maya by Bah\u00eda Principe<\/b> Circuit held one of its events at the La Monacilla<\/b> course in Huelva and it was a complete success. The “sold out” sign had to be hung as in most of the tournaments of this circuit. La Monacilla<\/b> is a great design by Olaz\u00e1bal<\/b> that surprised those who did not know the course. And the truth is that many people traveled to participate in this tournament on the Costa del Sol, Seville and central Spain. <\/span><\/p>\n

The day was gorgeous, sunny and with a light breeze at the end. The perfect temperature to play golf. The level of play was very high and the three places that give the right to play the final where the fabulous five trips to Riviera Maya<\/b> next October will be decided. <\/p>\n

As for the results of the tournament, the scratch winner was Fernando Alonso Oses<\/b>, with 35 scratch points. In the first category, Alberto Garc\u00eda del Castillo<\/b> won with 37 stableford points, followed by El\u00edas Plaza L\u00f3pez-Berges<\/b> with 35 and Pablo Cascajo L\u00f3pez<\/b>, also with 35. In the second category, the winner was Juan Carlos Carrasco Rodriguez<\/b>, with 39 points, followed byJos\u00e9 Manuel Castilla Requena<\/b>, with 38 and, in third position, Tom\u00e1s G\u00f3mez Fern\u00e1ndez<\/b>, with 37. <\/p>\n

In addition to the prizes for the first three classified in each category and the scratch winner, there were two special prizes for the closest ball, the one on the 12th hole was sponsored by Bodega Bernardi<\/b>.no<\/b>, one of the best restaurants in the area, and the prize of a shoulder of good ham was won byJuan Cruz Campoy<\/b>. On the 10th hole the closest ball was placed by Cristina Santos Mozo<\/b>. <\/span><\/p>\n

La Monacilla<\/strong> is the third of thirty tournaments that make up the thirteenth edition of the Andaluc\u00eda Golf Challenge ‘Destino PGA Riviera Maya by Bah\u00eda Pr\u00edncipe’, an<\/strong> open amateur circuit organized by the Andaluc\u00eda Golf \/ Espa\u00f1a Golf magazine.<\/b> The circuit will cover most of the Andalusian provinces, as well as others in central Spain, with most of the events taking place on the Costa del Sol, on top-level courses. <\/span><\/p>\n

The grand final <\/b>of the circuit, from which the five winners of the trips to the Mexican Caribbean<\/b> will be chosen, will be played on September 30<\/strong> and will be followed by a gala dinner at the Gran <\/b>Hotel Guadalp\u00edn Ban\u00fas. Access to the final<\/b> will be direct for the winner of each category<\/strong> and the scratch winner<\/b> of each tournament, while the remaining places in the final will be awarded on the basis of the Benahav\u00eds Ranking<\/b> based on the points obtained in each event.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

The next event of the Tour will be on Saturday, April 1<\/strong> at Real Club Sevilla Golf<\/strong>, Jose Mar\u00eda Olaz\u00e1bal<\/strong>‘s design. <\/span><\/p>\n

The top two finishers in each category and the scratch winner of the Grand Final, to be played on September 30 in Almenara, will travel to the Mexican Caribbean. <\/span><\/p>\n
