The golf course at Parque Deportivo La Garza<\/strong>, in Linares (Ja\u00e9n), has been a great success in the Andaluc\u00eda Golf Challenge Destination PGA Riviera Maya by Bah\u00eda Principe<\/b>. <\/span><\/p>\n

With tee times at 8:30 a.m. and 1:45 p.m., participants enjoyed a splendid day of golf enhanced by magnificent weather, sunny and pleasant temperatures, and excellent conditions on the course. <\/span><\/p>\n

The fairways were simply perfect, and the greens were excellent in appearance and speed. <\/p>\n

It is worth mentioning that the course has different tees for the first and second rounds, so that each hole is played differently. For example, the 1st is a par 5 for the first round and a par 4 for the second. <\/p>\n

The players who did not know the course were very pleasantly impressed and are sure to come back.<\/p>\n

The Parque Deportivo La Garza<\/strong> course is without a doubt a highly recommended stop for those golfers who want to travel by car between the center or north and south of Spain, as it is very close to Bail\u00e9n.<\/p>\n

After the competition, a splendid cocktail was served by the club’s catering manager, Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda L\u00f3pez<\/strong>, whose restaurant has an excellent assortment and really popular prices, like all those in this fabulous public sports park managed by the Junta de Andaluc\u00eda.<\/p>\n

There was an important raffle of gifts, reinforced with contributions from Parque Deportivo La Garza<\/strong>, which also contributed to the welcome packs with a Callaway cap. For example, bottles of Hacienda El Palo virgin olive oil, Bridgestone Tiger Woods balls and thermos, belt and glove kits were raffled. <\/p>\n

The Sports Park where the golf course is integrated has a very complete offer of leisure and sports, with facilities for soccer, tennis and swimming pools, among others, and many activities for children.<\/p>\n

It also offers accommodation in wooden bungalows perfectly equipped for stays in a spectacular natural environment, and only five minutes from the city of Linares.<\/p>\n

The scratch, first and second category winners won a place in the final of the Circuit organized by Andaluc\u00eda Golf\/Espa\u00f1a Golf magazine<\/strong>, where the fabulous five trips to the Riviera Maya<\/strong> will be decided next October. <\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

As for the results of the tournament, the scratch winner was David Michael Doyle<\/b>, with 32 scratch points. In the first category, Antonio Manuel Quesada Ruiz<\/strong> won, <\/b>in the second category, the winner was Andr\u00e9s Jes\u00fas Mart\u00ednez Rivero<\/b>, with 42 points, followed by Juan Jos\u00e9 Ruz Soto<\/b>, with 38 points, and \u00c1ngel Gabriel Alfaro Piqueras<\/b>, also with 38 points. <\/p>\n

In addition to the prizes for the top three in each category and the scratch winner, there was a special prize for the closest ball on the 18th hole, won by Yaqub Kahn<\/b>.<\/p>\n

The one at the Parque Deportivo La Garza<\/strong> is the seventh of the thirty tournaments that make up the thirteenth edition of the Andaluc\u00eda Golf Challenge ‘Destino PGA Riviera Maya by Bah\u00eda Pr\u00edncipe’, an<\/strong> open amateur circuit organized by the Andaluc\u00eda Golf\/Espa\u00f1a Golf magazine.<\/b> The circuit will cover most of the Andalusian provinces, as well as others in central Spain, with most of the events taking place on the Costa del Sol, on top-level courses. <\/span><\/p>\n

The grand final <\/b>of the circuit, from which the five winners of the trips to the Mexican Caribbean<\/b> will be chosen, will be played on September 30<\/strong> and will be followed by a gala dinner at the Gran <\/b>Hotel Guadalp\u00edn Ban\u00fas. Gran Hotel Guadalp\u00edn Ban\u00fas<\/a><\/strong> in Marbella.<\/span><\/p>\n

Access to the final<\/b> will be direct for the winner of each category<\/strong> and the scratch winner<\/b> of each tournament, while the remaining places in the final will be awarded on the basis of the Benahav\u00eds Ranking<\/b> based on the points obtained in each event.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

The next appointments of the Circuit in May<\/strong> will be the 13th at Zarapicos<\/strong> (Salamanca), the 19th at<\/strong> Atalaya Old Course <\/b>(Estepona), the 23rd and 24th at RCG Sotogrande, the 27th at Santa Mar\u00eda Golf<\/b> (Marbella) and the 31st at La Dehesa<\/strong> (Madrid).<\/p>\n

The top two finishers in each category and the scratch winner of the Grand Final, to be played on September 30 in Almenara, will travel to the Mexican Caribbean. <\/span><\/p>\n
