Estepona Golf<\/strong>, the course recently acquired by Globalia, the company of Jos\u00e9 Hidalgo<\/strong> \u2018s business group, which also includes Air Europa and hotel resorts, was the setting for the penultimate event of the Andaluc\u00eda Golf Challenge Destination PGA Riviera Maya Circuit<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

After a summer with very little water, the course did not have some of its fairways in the best possible conditions, but the greens and antegreens were in good condition. Hole 8 is under repair, so for the tournament a provisional tee was set up 100 meters from the green. <\/p>\n

Most players praised the course design, which was described as very attractive and fun.<\/p>\n

The new ownership of the course has begun an ambitious renovation plan, which is sure to bear fruit in a reasonable period of time and will make Estepona Golf<\/strong> one of the most attractive courses in the area.<\/p>\n

The day of the competition was sunny, with a very pleasant average temperature that was no longer reminiscent of the sweltering temperatures experienced this summer.<\/p>\n

After the tournament, a paella was served in the clubhouse and the prizes were awarded and gifts were raffled, a ceremony that, on behalf of the club, was attended by Davinia Macias <\/strong>and Andrew Butler<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

After this tournament, there is only one chance left to qualify for the Final on September 30<\/strong> in Almenara (Sotogrande)<\/strong> and opt for one of five<\/strong> all-expenses paid golf trips<\/strong>, flying with Air Europa<\/strong> to Cancun<\/strong> and staying at the five-star Grand Tulum at Bahia Principe<\/strong> to play PGA Riviera Maya, Mayakoba El Camale\u00f3n and Playa Para\u00edso. <\/strong><\/strong> <\/p>\n

The <\/span> XIIIAndaluc\u00eda Golf Challenge \u2018Destino PGA Riviera Maya by Bah\u00eda Pr\u00edncipe\u2019 <\/strong>is an open amateur circuit organized by the <\/span>Andaluc\u00eda Golf\/Espa\u00f1a Golf magazine <\/strong>that travels through all the Andalusian provinces, as well as others in central Spain, with most of the events taking place on the Costa del Sol, on top level courses.<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>grand final<\/strong> <\/span>of the Circuit, where the five winners of the <\/span>trips to the Mexican Caribbean<\/strong> will be played on <\/span>September 30 in Almenara<\/strong> <\/span>and will be followed by a gala dinner at the restaurant Barbillon Restaurant<\/strong><\/a> Beach Club<\/strong><\/a> <\/span>in Marbella.

Access to the final will be direct for the winner of each category and the scratch winner of each tournament, while the remaining places in the final will be awarded based on the <\/span>Ranking Benahav\u00eds<\/strong> <\/span>prepared from the points obtained in each event.<\/p>\n
