It couldn’t have started in a better setting, Finca Cortes\u00edn<\/b><\/span><\/a>and<\/span> with better weather conditions the fourteenth edition of the <\/span>SAN MIGUEL ANDALUC\u00cdA GOLF CHALLENGE ‘Destination Dominican Republic by Globalia’.<\/b> <\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

With a perfect temperature, a light breeze, a radiant sun, spectacular greens, in perfect condition and presentation, very fast and with an unbeatable ball roll quality, the participants in the tournament enjoyed an exceptional day of golf at the fantastic course. <\/span>headquarters of the <\/span>Solheim Cup<\/strong> <\/span>and <\/span>three editions of the <\/span>World Match Play Championship<\/strong>. Players from all over Andalusia and other autonomous communities participated in the inaugural competition of the Circuit. In addition to Spaniards, there were players of other nationalities, for example from the United Kingdom, Sweden, Luxembourg, Belgium, Russia, Ireland, Norway and Austria. <\/span><\/p>\n

After the game, a spectacular cocktail was served in the gardens attached to the driving range and the Finca Cortes\u00edn clubhouse. It is worth mentioning the collaboration given to the tournament by the entire golf club team led by Ignacio Olea<\/strong>, with special mention to Antonio Aguilar<\/b>. <\/span><\/p>\n

Prizes for the top finishers included premium branded clothing from the Puerto Ban\u00fas boutique Fairway+Blue<\/strong>, magnum wines from Bodegas Marqu\u00e9s de Ter\u00e1n <\/strong>of the D.O. Rioja and <\/strong>dozens of Bridgestone <\/strong> balls. <\/span><\/p>\n

The player service at Finca Cortesin <\/span><\/strong>is surely the best that can be enjoyed on the Costa del Sol. A member of the team receives the players in the parking lot and takes the bags of clubs to place them in a personalized buggy that will be left next to the driving range, where the balls, courtesy of the club, are perfectly stacked in pyramids. Once on the golf course, players are treated to a hot broth during the round. These are quality details that make the difference. <\/span><\/p>\n

As for the competition itself, the winners were Alan Fordyce<\/b> (scratch), Rob McGovern<\/b> (first category) and Eva Lindblom <\/strong>(second category). In addition to the prizes and gifts for the winners and best classified, there was a raffle of gifts and a special prize for the closest ball to the flag sponsored by the Tragabuches Restaurant<\/a><\/strong>of the Dani Garc\u00eda Group<\/strong>. In the raffle, it is worth mentioning a painting by Alejandro Hermann<\/a><\/strong>a prestigious painter based in Marbella with a studio and art gallery in Marbella. The lucky winner of both the closest ball prize and the Alejandro Hermann painting was Jos\u00e9 Bernal de la Rosa<\/strong>. <\/span><\/p>\n

RESULTS<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>Finca Cortesin<\/strong> <\/span>is the first of the 25 tournaments that make up the fourteenth edition of this open amateur circuit organized by the magazine Andaluc\u00eda Golf \/ Espa\u00f1a Golf.<\/b> The circuit will cover all the Andalusian provinces, as well as Madrid and Mallorca, with most of the rounds being played on the Costa del Sol, on top level courses. <\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>grand final <\/span><\/b>of the circuit, from which the five winners of the trips to the Dominican Caribbean<\/b> will be chosen, will be played on September 21<\/b> and will be followed by a gala dinner at the Gran Hotel Guadalp\u00edn Ban\u00fas. <\/span>Gran Hotel Guadalpin Banus<\/a><\/strong> in Marbella.<\/span><\/p>\n

The access to the final<\/b> will be direct for the <\/span>winner of each category<\/strong> <\/span>and the scratch winner<\/b> of each tournament, while the remaining places in the final will be awarded based on the ranking<\/b> based on the points obtained in each event.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

The next meeting of the Circuit will be on <\/span>Saturday, March 2,<\/strong> in the Huelva La Monacilla<\/a><\/strong>designed by Chema Olaz\u00e1bal. <\/span><\/p>\n
