La Monacilla<\/strong>, the Huelva course designed by the great Chema Olaz\u00e1bal, winner of two Augusta Masters, has hosted with great success the second round of the <\/span>SAN MIGUEL ANDALUC\u00cdA GOLF CHALLENGE \u2018Destination Dominican Republic by Globalia\u2019 Circuit,<\/b> which this year celebrates its fourteenth edition.<\/span><\/p>\n

With slight episodes of rain that hardly affected the game, the tournament took place in a great sporting atmosphere. It is worth mentioning the good condition of the greens. It is a very flat course, very interesting, very pleasant, suitable for all handicap levels and a pleasant discovery for many of the participants in the Tour who played this magnificent Olaz\u00e1bal design for the first time. <\/span><\/p>\n

After the game, a cocktail was served in the clubhouse. It is worth mentioning the collaboration given to the tournament by the entire golf club team led by Ricardo Bescansa<\/b>, with the invaluable help of Pablo Alc\u00e1ntara<\/strong>. <\/span><\/p>\n

Prizes for the top finishers included magnum wines from Bodegas Marqu\u00e9s de Ter\u00e1n <\/strong>of the Rioja D.O. and <\/strong>dozens of Bridgestone <\/strong> balls. <\/span><\/p>\n

As far as the competition itself is concerned, the winners were Miguel D\u00edaz del Mor\u00e1n Berd\u00fan<\/span><\/b> (scratch), Luis Herrero Fern\u00e1ndez<\/b> (first category) and Fernando de Vega P\u00e9rez <\/strong>(second category). In addition to the prizes and gifts to the winners and best classified, there was a raffle of gifts and special prizes to the nearest ball to the flag sponsored by Bodegas Bernardino<\/strong>, (ham shoulder), and by Bodegas Marqu\u00e9s de Ter\u00e1n <\/strong>(bottle of magnum wine). <\/span><\/p>\n

RESULTS<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>La Monacilla<\/strong> <\/span>is the second of the 25 tournaments that make up the fourteenth edition of this open amateur circuit organized by the magazine Andaluc\u00eda Golf \/ Espa\u00f1a Golf.<\/b> The circuit will cover all the Andalusian provinces, as well as Madrid and Mallorca, with most of the rounds being played on the Costa del Sol, on top level courses. <\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>grand final <\/span><\/b>of the circuit, from which the five winners of the trips to the Dominican Caribbean<\/b> will be chosen, will be played on September 28th<\/b> in Los Arqueros<\/strong> and will be followed by a gala dinner at the <\/span>Gran Hotel Guadalp\u00edn Ban\u00fas<\/a><\/strong> in Marbella.<\/span><\/p>\n

The access to the final<\/b> will be direct for the <\/span>winner of each category<\/strong> <\/span>and the scratch winner<\/b> of each tournament, while the remaining places in the final will be awarded based on the ranking<\/b> based on the points obtained in each event.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

The next appointments of the Circuit will be on Saturday, March 23rd<\/strong> at Azata Golf <\/strong>and March 30th<\/strong> at La Cala Resort Campo Asia.<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n
