{"id":22504,"date":"2023-10-18T11:29:01","date_gmt":"2023-10-18T11:29:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/andaluciagolf.com\/patrick-koenig-breaks-world-record-for-most-18-hole-courses-played-in-a-year\/"},"modified":"2023-10-18T11:29:01","modified_gmt":"2023-10-18T11:29:01","slug":"patrick-koenig-breaks-world-record-for-most-18-hole-courses-played-in-a-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/andaluciagolf.com\/en\/patrick-koenig-breaks-world-record-for-most-18-hole-courses-played-in-a-year\/","title":{"rendered":"Patrick Koenig breaks world record for most 18-hole courses played in a year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Patrick Koenig, ECCO GOLF ambassador, today broke the world record for most 18-hole courses played in a single year by completing <span>his 450th course<\/span> on the 18th hole this year.<\/p>\n<p>Koenig&#8217;s extraordinary journey, &#8216;The RGV Tour 2.0&#8217;, has been a monumental effort: he originally set a goal of playing a staggering 500 golf courses over a 365-day period, and is set to complete that tally before the end of the Tour in January.<\/p>\n<p>His passion and determination have now rewritten the record books, surpassing the previous record of 449 fields, set in 2009.<\/p>\n<p><span><span>Throughout the challenge, Koenig relied exclusively on ECCO GOLF shoes and took full advantage of the brand&#8217;s exceptional comfort and durability during the world record attempt.  <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span>Koenig commented, &#8220;There is no other golf shoe than ECCO that I would have preferred to play in on 450 golf courses.
