He replaces David Pastor, who has been at the head of the association for the last eight years. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The new PGA Board of Directors is composed of Ander Mart\u00ednez, as President of the PGA of Spain; Jos\u00e9 Vicente P\u00e9rez Cuartero, Vice President; Jos\u00e9 Marcell\u00e1n, Alfredo Borr\u00e1s, Antonio Planells, Marta Prieto, Carlos Vivas, Vicente Bl\u00e1zquez and Victoria Mart\u00edn.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">During the last few years, <b>Ander Mart\u00ednez<\/b> has coordinated and worked in the project of the National Professional Tour (Seve Ballesteros PGA Spain Tour) as Head of the Men\u2019s Professionals Area. Collaborating side by side with all the members of the outgoing Board of Directors. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">Ander is a professional player and member of the PGA since 1996, as well as the creator of his own golf school, which has been active for 25 years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cBeing a member of the PGA for all these years has been a great fortune. I have been more in agreement with some Boards of Directors than others, but I have always been, and will always be, a member of the PGA; it is my home, the home of the professionals and it is a pride to be part of this spectacular family,\u201d commented Ander in his inauguration.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">In his curriculum as a professional he has three trophies: the Challenge Ciudad de San Sebasti\u00e1n in 1999, Open Zarauz 2005 and the Laukariz Peugeot Loewe Tour in 2008. From 2012 to 2019 he worked as a golf course manager and has also worked as a caddie for different professionals on international circuits. And for the next four years he will be president of the PGA of Spain.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">He will be accompanied by <b>Jos\u00e9 Vicente P\u00e9rez Cuartero<\/b>, who will continue his work in the Training Area of the Association as he has been doing in recent years. Jos\u00e9 Vicente is a Level II Sports Technician, member of the golf developers team of the Confederation of Professional Golf (CPG) and Director of Training of the PGA since 2013. He also teaches classes, as well as being a Tutor at the National School of Golf Sports Technicians and a Tutor for the CPG.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cIn this electoral process, the union of three different candidacies has been the key to form a single one that will be much stronger, and it is only from the union that our collective will have the recognition it deserves,\u201d said Ander Martinez.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cI want to thank this entire Board of Directors, friends, colleagues and especially my family for helping me make this decision of such responsibility. I would also like to take this opportunity to publicly thank our previous president, David Pastor, and the previous Board of Directors for their hard work, dedication and loyalty to the PGA. All of them have had a lot to do with my decision.
