The eighteen holes of the Club de Golf La Estancia, in Chiclana (C\u00e1diz), have witnessed this week the high level of play that our Andalusian professionals have shown in the \u2018Gran Premio de Profesionales de Andaluc\u00eda\u2019 organized by the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation, which has been held in two days \u2013 Tuesday 15 and Wednesday 16 September \u2013 and which ended with the victory of Manuel Quir\u00f3s in the absolute category, Laura Cabanillas in the female category, V\u00edctor Casado among the seniors, and Juan Quir\u00f3s among the super-seniors.<\/p>\n

Up to eleven players finished the competition under par, in a course that has surprised the participants for its excellent state of maintenance and for the attentions of its staff, which has been devoted to make the meeting a success.<\/p>\n

Manuel Quiros from Malaga has signed the best cumulative result, with two identical rounds of 67 strokes, for a total of -10. Thus, he had three strokes ahead of Jos\u00e9 Ignacio Mar\u00edn who, after leading the first round with 66 strokes, added a card of 71 on Wednesday, which left him with a total of -7. <\/p>\n

As for the women\u2019s classification, Laura Cabanillas took first place, matching the par of the course, with two rounds of 72 strokes, and one ahead of Piti Martinez, who was in second place.<\/p>\n

For his part, Victor Casado signed on Tuesday, during the first day, an excellent round of 67 strokes, to which he added another 70 on Wednesday, for a total of 137 (-7). Thus, he won the victory with four strokes ahead of Rafael Ben\u00edtez. <\/p>\n

Finally, among those over 70 years of age, Juan Quir\u00f3s took first place after matching the par of the course (70+74). He was followed in second place by Antonio M\u00e1rquez, with a total score of +9. <\/p>\n

These same four winners of this \u2018Gran Premio de Profesionales de Andaluc\u00eda\u2019 have been the winners of the Andalusian Professionals Ranking 2020.<\/p>\n

After the competition, the awards ceremony was attended by Jos\u00e9 Manuel Crespo (President of the Professionals Committee of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation); Jos\u00e9 Lorca (Director of La Estancia Golf Club); and Francisco Jordano, chief referee of the event.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
