The Dominican Republic\u2019s legendary golf course gets a makeover<\/b><\/h2>\n

The legendary Teeth of the Dog<\/b>, located at Casa de Campo Resort<\/b>, Dominican Republic, will undergo a comprehensive renovation in 2025<\/b> after more than 50 years of history. The course will close on January 20, 2025<\/b> and reopen before Christmas<\/b> of the same year. <\/p>\n

Pete Dye\u2019s legacy at Teeth of the Dog<\/b><\/h2>\n

Pete Dye<\/b>, the celebrated golf course architect, designed this course in his signature style: moving greens, challenging bunkers, severe mounding and strategic water hazards<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Dye used to say that golf is not a fair game<\/b>, so he designed courses that challenge<\/b> golfers\u2019 minds<\/b> before each shot. His masterpiece at Casa de Campo is a favorite of Miguel Angel Jimenez<\/b>, who chooses it for his training in the Dominican Republic. <\/p>\n

The Fantastic 7: Hole by Hole by the Sea<\/b><\/h3>\n

Dye claimed that he only created 11 holes<\/b>, as the other 7 were designed by nature<\/b>. These are the mythical holes 5 to 8 and 15 to 17<\/b>, which border the coral formations<\/b> and the Caribbean Sea<\/b>, offering breathtaking views and unique challenges. <\/p>\n
