The award, granted by the Higher Sports Council (CSD),<\/a> recognises the best athlete, team or entity from a member country of the European Union. The competition, held on the Costa del Sol, marked a milestone for European women\u2019s golf and consolidated Andalusia as a host of major international sporting events.<\/p>\n

According to Salado, the edition held on the Costa del Sol represented a milestone for European women\u2019s golf and for the international projection of Andalusia as a destination for major sporting events.<\/p>\n

He also underlined that the Solheim Cup 2023 left a significant legacy, both because of the competitive level and its international media impact, with special prominence given to Spain\u2019s Carlota Ciganda, whose performance was decisive in achieving the final tie.<\/p>\n
